    Hello,

I have a 06 F430 Spider. all the buttons and knobs are getting sticky. I have been recommended to sticky no more, but then the dealer is offering a 2100.00 flat rate to do it all. Any thoughts?? Thanks

Easy Off oven cleaner and a little elbow grease works for me. Cost me less than $7.00. Do a search on this forum for more ideas.

Doesn't that remove all the lettering too? Does StickyNoMore replace the lettering after removing the Ferrari gunk?

So just rub the denatured alcohol on with a rag until black goo is off? Do you have to paint the part after you are done? Just wondering what is left after removing goo. My glove box button is getting real sticky!

On my 360, I did the glove box button with denatured and it was easy. Still black!

Make sure they define what the term "all" means in writing. I had the same term thrown at me when I was negotiating for my car but clearly the two of us have different meanings of the word "all" :) They sent all the obvious ones to SNM and the work was superb but they missed some too. These I do myself when I cant stand it anymore.

I used simple green and a purple product on my 360. Took about 2 hours. Only thing u lost was the "lock" decal on the doors. Did with qtips and rags, didn't remove too much. Let the product do the work.

I had all of my sticky bits and the steering column cover done on my CS by Robby at SNM. Makes the car look like brand new again. Cheap price to pay for parts that give your car that off the showroom floor look again and to know they were done right.

I used oven cleaner and it worked a treat.
Then I bought a label maker and made the new signs. Looks good to me.

I had the sticky button issue in my 2005 Maserati & found that Super Clean, the stuff in the purple bottle, worked fine. I simply put the cleaner on a terry cloth rag & rubbed the central console parts. With a bit of rubbing the gooey stuff came off & now the parts are clean & smooth. Be careful with Super Clean as it may discolor leather. I used painters tape to protect the adjacent areas.

They continue to use soft touch coatings that fail. I speculate they use them because when new they are very nice and self healing to mar along with the self leveling thick coating that hides defects in the injection molded parts.

See our website and YouTube channel for a lot more information.

That is a fair price, however, I was disenchanted with that vendor.

So I am reading that I can do it with few products
    1. Easy off
    2. Rubbing alcohol
    3. Goo gone
    4. Oops remover

Which one do you recommend and the biggest question, will this remove the logos of the buttons ?

Every part is different, what may work on one part may not on the next part. Be very careful with some of those products, you may loose all the lettering, symbols on the switches, etc. Send me an email or message if you want it done right and no worries about messing anything up. Robbie

When the coating is failed, just about anything will remove it.

Here is a thread with a lot of information:

    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/understanding-ferraris-sticky-interiors-a-technical-guide.520454/

Here are a couple videos of what can happen if you "clean" parts:

Here is the refinished part from the above video. Fully refinished with laser etched graphics.

What would really be great is a set of DIY videos on how to R&R the various sticky parts. It’s not a question of if the parts will need refinishing but when.
