I know, I shouldn't have waited until the last minute but I didn't think I was going to make it this year.

Of course all of the close places are booked but does anyone know of anything else that isn't to far away?

I'd really like to make it out this year and hope I can find a place.

Tough so late in the game....hotel/motel $400 a night I would guess. Just looking for one person? Call around for cancellations etc. & see what you can find. Good luck!

All the hotels are 4 nite min.

Try neiborghing cities outside of Monterey and Carmel.

A few years ago I also decided late to go. I found a place in Seaside through Bookings.com, when no other services had places available. It was only a motel but the room was clean and there was decent, open air parking. It was only moderately marked up and only a two night minimum. So don't give up!

    Thanks for the responses everyone!

I checked Kayak and there's still a lot of stuff available in Monterey. Most of the places don't seem that nice but I probably won't be in the room much so I'm fine with that. I'm going to book something this weekend for Wed-Sun.

Now I just need to figure out what shows to attend... I've never been so I really have no idea what to check out.

    Thanks again!

Tickle Pink Inn? No this is not a joke. If you stay there get a suite. Great views and big rooms.

Airbnb was a score. We have a cottage for an entire week. Split between a few of us, it's a deal.

A house or hotel for car week is best booked a year in advance if you want to stay in Carmel. Otherwise Salinas it is...

3 night min is generous, many nice places are 5
