    Guys, when I stated my search a few year back, I received a PM from someone on this forum or the other that had a project 355 car (GTB). I can't for the life of me find the PM or email.

    I'm kicking around the idea of a project - must be a GTB or GTS. Red, black, silver exterior prefered. Don't care about mileage or service. Not looking for any major wreck or salvage.

    Looking for something that needs TLC and service. Minor body work needed is OK.

    PM if you have something. Not interested in spiders. F1 or gated.

    I don't want to mess with my pristine, 99% original car. I'd like to find a beater 355 that I can mess with.

    Get financing at Kickstarter and then post how-to videos for the rest of us during your restoration process. You could have your own DIY section. Next thing you know, you're famous and seeking out a LaFerrari to rebuild. Too much?

    18 months ago i bought another 355 that had an engine fire. I bought it for a long term rebuild project. I took some time out from it last winter while i rebuilt the engine in my other 355. That 355 i have had for many years is now sorted now so its back to the project.
    When i saw it i thought it was worth saving.
    Go for it Daverocks, if i can help at any time, please dont hesitate mate.

    Just have the right mindset from the start

    I love cars a little too much but I have absolutely no emotional attachment to them
    Expect not to get your money or time compensation back.

    What you will get is great satisfaction preserving history.

    I have done this starting in 1980 with a Porsche 916 that took a concurs win and have not stopped.

    Have a made a penny? no LOL Consider it a mistress.

    We have a ton of parts if you need anything

    BTW I am looking also in a few months soon as I finish one :)

    Dave, are you looking to restore a 355, or are you going to hot rod it a little by putting turbos on it or a 430 motor in it? :)

    Just looking for something to work on, not care about miles or originality. Or, if a deer hit's it. Just something to have a different type of fun with and maybe track.

    I had a black/beige one of those back in the day Paul, 1978-79. Needed wheel bearings like oil changes as I recall. A friend and I drove it from NJ to FL and back even. My last targa top:).

    It's definitely a fun car, and this is a later model with improved wheel bearings, but to drive it round trip NJ to FL is just masochistic.
