Comparing the spare wheel, with the original tire mounted on it, and several silver paints I found the best match was Austin Healey wire wheel silver available from Moss Motors. It is a little greyer then most restored wheels but it does have a hint of blue in it. Test it first and see if you like the color. Cheers Jim
Yes a lot of the restored cars go to this bright contemporary Ferrari silver and that's just incorrect.
i knew if i asked the question id get the answer so thanks again ! some sort of number to give my painter would help however so i dont have to buy a spray can from the UK to give to a paint shop in Canada. he may fond that insulting LOL regards Gary 8394
If it helps you can buy a can from California... sorry I don't have a paint number. I painted the wheels on my Austin Healey about 14 years ago and the paint has held up very well, they look just like they did when I finished. However that car has been off the road for a number of years now. I have also used Moss's engine paint, overall I would say the paint they are selling is a good quality paint. Thanks for sharing this. You have love Lamborghini's period color-assignation man. Im convinced he was color blind. The 2 Verde leather choices are... well, they're not Verde at all!
what colour combination for your new Espada sir? I would have gone with metallic "sky blue acrilico" personally... Image Unavailable, Please Login
