Redunk!!! So freaking hot. Congrats!!
Im looking at a GTO right now. Im curious as to the original sticker vs actual sales price. Congrats!!
I purchased the car from Beachwood Porsche in Cleveland. It was originally sold new in Vancouver. I will pm you. Yes I plan to be there both Saturday & Sunday but if weather is as bad as being predicted may not be there very long. I've been a member of the Cortile for a few years and been coming to the PVGP for probably 20 years. Except for 2 years ago when I had a 458, always at the Porsche area. Only my 3rd Ferrari but over 25 Porsches since my first in 1979. That was one of my thoughts. Mentioned it in an earlier post. Not a fan of having a plate with my name on it. I figure if I go into the parking lot to find my car I won't have to look at name plates to figure which Red 599 GTO is mine. The car has one of the World Champion plates on the left side of the dash. What will Ferrari do if they win another World Championship? Send everybody a new plaque!! It is pressed into the leather. Hopefully screwed on. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I wonder if it's the same dimensions and uses the same hole spacing as the oem GTO badge... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great car! Congrats! A real housewive car… Seems that she dedicated the plate to her daughter. Image Unavailable, Please Login
You should be able to get a blank plate from the factory and swap it. Putting your VIN or last 6 of the VIN on there sounds like a nice touch.
Stunning GTO, congratulations. This is the first GTO I have seen pictures of that has the carbon shields fitted.
Duffy- The dedication plate is held on by nuts and washers, as you can see in the upper left. The last 6 of the VIN, commonly referred to as the serial number, is something nobody would mind having. Or the engine type if you want something only you will understand. For the GTO it would be Type F140CE. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for the schematic. I love the idea of the engine type. Very subtle. Do you think Ferrari would do it to my spec or would I have to go aftermarket?
Engraving is no large thing, I make up hundreds of "nameplates" in my projects. Get the blank part and then any local engraver can do it. Just warn them, that the blank cost $500USD!!! Congrats man, drive safely, and fast!!
Tex- Yup, and they would probably have to engrave the GTO, too, because the one I showed the part number for would be blank. The dealer can probably provide the part number for the GTO equivalent, but it may be twice or three times the cost. I am sure Ferrari would do be happy to engrave one in Maranello, but I would not want to know how much it would cost compared to a jeweler.
