Does Valeo system have a separate hydraulic compartment beside the Gear box oil which I have already replaced, As I still have issue with gear selection. Before I hand it over to the surgeon .

I would say yes! Possibly a reservoir near the front where the NORMAL clutch master cylinder is. It has to have a pump for hydraulic operation or is it working with the engine oïl pressure? Maybe!

    Hank should chime in soon!

Thank you for your input, I have removed the front right cover been (RHD), where the brake booster is there's a small black cylinder size of baseball could that be it, if so what type of hydraulic oil required and can it be flushed.
    Kind regards
    Michael

Maybe you should try to find the procédures to recalibrate the clutch.

    Hi Michael,

What is your issue with "gear selection"? What took place between your recent drive during which, you were concerned with suspension lights, and at that time, there was no mention of gear related issues? Please describe your current concern.

    Cheers,

    Hank

    Claude,

You flatter me. :):) The truth is, I'm no expert with the technical stuff. But after 10 years with Rachel, I've learned to pay attention to what she's telling me, and I've done a ton of reading about her systems and therefore, when I experience a glitch, I don't panic. Also, I try to not confuse issues.

The thing with the Valeo clutch "system", is that it's pretty much bullet proof. The actuator is built like a tank - - yet, a blown $2.00 fuse can scare the pi-- out of you, causing you to believe that it's broken !! :):) It's not !!!

Calm down, boys & girls - - let's talk symptoms, first.

    Cheers, Hank

I know you're not an expert, but I believe you are one of the longest VALEO owner that really use it. And I know you are well informed about it. I see you as the defender of the VALEO.

    No flattery, just facts ;-)

    Ok.

Only other (non Valeo related) item I can think of is the linkage. Perhaps something loosened up?

    Regards,
    Jerry

We had a client years ago, the symptoms are the same.
First we found nothing, at the end it was an Powertransistor on the ECU from the gearbox.
There are 4 of them , all replaced and everything was fine.
