The car appears to be flood damaged. Sea salt will corrode everything to that extent within a few months. Interior seems completely ruined. A nice good Indy will sell for around 40,000 euros. But this year, due to the 100 years of Maserati, dealers have been asking for a lot more. I haven't seen anyone buy at higher prices at the moment.
A couple of years ago there was a black Indy in Rome that had been in a flood, so maybe not the only one! Flood & sea water is a nightmare, seawater in the long term is fatal! Interior mould is usual on cars stored with out a clean, covering with a sheet will pull off the paint like this. So maybe just badly stored. Recent auction results in UK for a restored RHD car was around £42,000. RHD few cars survive in UK, maybe under 20. So this one would be 50% of that. LHD far more common so perhaps they are less value but also a larger potential market. Lots of Indys for sale are over 50,000 euros but who knows if they sell.
masermad, agreed, but when the asking price goes over a certain point, then most people prefer to spend something extra and get a Ghibli instead. Asking price and actual sale price are two totally different things. This year prices have quadrupled because dealers want to take advantage of the Maserati centennial. They'll probably go back down again in January? who knows.

He probably meant conversions <www.britishv8.org>. The Ford 460 in the Triumph Mayflower does seem a little excessive, though.
