Love those dark reds and the photo makes it look absolutely DELICIOUS! You are going to love this car.

Did you consider Rosso Mugello? The two are so close except for the metallic flake. Just wondering if you considered non-metallic and how you ended up with this choice -- which is a great one.

 

I was at the factory on June 16th for a Tailor Made session and tour. I swear I saw your car. I remember this color and how striking it was. Was at the end of the line. Gorgeous!!

 

I'm with Keith; I'm inclined to think that anyone who tells you not to worry about glare hasn't driven a car with cuoio dash

but what do I know? I drive a blue Ferrari.............

 

did you get the carbon fiber sport sills or is it just the black sport sills looks very nice

 

I've driven cars with cuoio dash and while there is some reflection, it didn't bother me at all. And Ive driven cars with black dash with white stitch and the reflection was insane. I think its about the total spec.

Thanks everyone for your comments on my car. I can't wait to see it in the Flesh. Hope it arrives in July and US Customs does not hold it up.

To answer some of your questions:

Patekswiss: I did consider Rosso Mugello several times but in the end I really like metallic paint. When the sun hits the paint it really shines. I saw several 599's and a 458 in Mugello and that told me to go metallic.

Markmoon- Based on the date you where at the Factory I am sure that was my car you saw. Hope all the options I ordered made it on the car!!! I was at the factory last year about this time and what an amazing group of artist especially the guys that take a week to build a V12 engine.

Larry H: I did not get the Carbon Fiber Sport Sills. I did have them painted black. Several reasons, Carbon Fiber on the outside I never see and the cost difference is large. I put carbon on the inside.

I don't think I will get any pictures from the factory of the inside of the car but if I do I will post them.

Enjoy! I was a little surprised that the V8 cars had several technicians involved with building each engine as opposed to the one man-one engine process for the 12s. Also, the V12 line, as you know, was on the second floor and seemed more like an artisan's high tech shop than a factory line. Amazing.

Good luck on customs. Just had a watch disappear into the black hole of customs in NYC for a couple of weeks. Very frustrating -- the ultimate faceless, inaccessible bureaucracy.

 

It's really cool but not exactly a new idea... the Corvette factory has webcams streaming 24/7 so you can see your car being "born" and you can keep an eye on it until you go to pick it up at the factory.

Brilliant. A great combination of exterior color and interior spec.

 

Dealer called me today to say the Ferrari System shows my F12 is at the dealer. However, the car is not at the dealer. They looked "high and low" but could not find it!!!

Maybe next week.
