Nice write up. Extremely detailed. One question. What do you think about removing the oil filler cap before drain plugs to aid draining. Not sure if it really makes a difference but its a practice I've always employed on all my cars.
Guys, I was able to get torque specifications for the oil filter and drain plugs so I revised the document, see attached Rev 001 Thank you to Ferrari of Atlanta for the help. Image Unavailable, Please Login
PS, I want to point out a nomenclature issue: The owner's manual calls the oil pan the "tank" and the remote oil tank the "sump" I stayed with that nomenclature since I referenced the manual in the document. It's actually the reverse, however. The sump is really the oil pan at the bottom of the motor and the tank is really the remote tank. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused
I decided to create a document to help users with lift and jacking points. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/143285343-post16.html
Another great, informative write up. Would you change anything, especially with regard to configuration on a 2 post lift, if the work contemplated was engine removal? The concern obviously the risk of the car falling off the lift due to the change in weight distribution when the engine is dropped.
The 2-post lift locations I show (unibody frame, front and rear) are the best places to lift the car for engine out service. This has been confirmed by several here and I've also witnessed 2 cars at dealerships with the motor out and the lift points they used where the ones I show.
I wish I read this yesterday. I was in a shop that had a 355 on a lift with the engine out. Would have paid closer attention!
Good Find. Wow $100 for 1 day "viewing access". $3K for the year. Sheesh At least it seems to indicate you can print. Better stock up on paper and toner.
You can get the workshop manuals here (in case anyone didn't know): http://www.ferraridatabase.com/The_Downloads/Manuals_Workshop.htm Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Good write up. Now I'll have to find somewhere in Southern California that sells hockey pucks! You would think that with the Kings winning the Cup again there would be plenty around.
