I have heard so many comments from people about the Diablo saying how they had never seen one in person. I understand that, with mine, there are only three Diablos in the state so the odds of seeing one are pretty low. Was nice to be able to show people a car that they've only seen in pictures. We all turn into excited kids again when we see our "dream cars" in person for that first time.

I had a poster of a black '91 Diablo on my wall as a 14 year old back in '91. It was my dream car, yet I didn't see one in real life until about 2005 or so. I was down at Lake Forest Sports Cars to see a Ferrari 328 they had for sale and I saw the Diablo getting work done in their service bay. My friend and I (huge car nut too) stood in awe and stared. Was the most excited I've ever been to see a car in my life. We still talk about seeing that car and the sheer giddy emotions it brought us. So I totally can appreciate it when people tell me how excited they are to finally see one in person.

Saw 2 Deloreans while at the EAA today. Took a pic of the first but when about to get a pic of the 2nd U decided not to as it would be silly to get another of the same.

Can I call seeing Jack Rousch in the flesh as a car sighting lol? He was at the EAA also this morning.

 

did he crash land on his way in?

 

Haha I didn't go 'there' with him, although was tempting to ask how he got in and then whats the deal with Edwards. I'm not sure if he still has his pilot's license.

I did have Oscars btw for the locals and it was not the "best" burger but it was a very good everyday burger if you want one! Some good custard though.

 

Sir Mix Alot got me hooked on the elusive Diablo... And thanks Bill for bringing that feeling back!

In the late 90's when I worked in Carol Stream we were only a few miles from the West Chicago Lambo dealer and on lunch or after work we'd head on over to watch the new deliveries come in. What a sight ...a roomful of Diablos!!! The 2 devils that captured my attention the most were the sinister triple black VT and the Royal blue SV with the chrome SV decal on the side.
Outside of the dealer visitations or rare appearance at the Chicago auto show, you'd never see these! I'm sure its gone by now but Reina on Capitol Dr had a red one a few months ago.

I was extremely surprised to see it wasn't part of the Reina show, just cruising by. Nobody saw it go by except my friends and I.
