These Thermal Reactor exhausts were the OEM exhausts used on US Version 308 cars in 1976 and 1977. They are pretty much non-existant today as most people removed them 30+ years ago for weight savings since they weigh about 80lbs or they went bad or even were just discarded as we near 40 years since manufacture. I know some of you have them stored away, which was smart. Anyhow, Im posting here in case someone is searching within the 3X8 forum, plus I'm simultaneously providing a little valuable info. It took me a couple of years of searching to find one and I ended up with two. People say you really shouldn't use them today, but if you are taking the car to an event where the car will be judged you might want it installed just for the event so you arent docked points, or if you plan now or later to have your 76-77 US Version 308 Ferrari Classiche certified you are required to have it on the car or it cannot pass certification, as it was explained to me. So, I have one for sale if anyone is interested. You can PM me if interested.

Barry "308GTB" had one stored as well, unless he sent it along with his '76 'glass car.

Knowing Barry though, I bet it was included in the sale.

I still have these thermoreactor or thermal reactor exhausts available, if anyone is interested. They are crated up and ready to ship. If you're big on originality, then you might be interested in storing one of these away with prices rising on these cars. They were only used on the non cat 308s, so 1976 and 1977 and perhaps 1975 for the GT4. Each are being sold at less than what I paid, because I no longer need them and would like to free up some garage space. If you show your car it's little original details like these that can differentiate you from the pack.

It's the only original part of my GT4 that I knowingly left behind (somewhere), when I had it modified....

I would love a hundred pounds off my car, but not for the price of a Tubi. What are my options/suggestion. I have no problem fabricating. Give me some ideas :) the last time I reduced my cars weight by 100 pounds, I threw my mother in law out of the car :)

I bought my 75 GT4 a long time ago, and it came with an Ansa exhaust. To pass smog, I had to put back the stock exhaust with thermal bomb. I bought it used from GT Car Parts, then shared it with another owner in San Diego for the same thing. That was the only time I had it on. I don't know if he still has it. The shipping alone was $100.

The last time I got my car through smog in CA (5-6 years ago and cost over 2k) I had the smog police in Sacramento involved. They finally ruled that a thermal exhaust was not available and allowed it to be deleted from required equipment. I think I still have the ruling if anyone needs it.

Love CA that is why I moved to AZ. :)
