Did not say it was hard. Business is often about "worth doing". Guys that post "150 or $30" have no idea what they are talking about.

No, it's all about the tax. Nothing to do with "worth doing". Any muffler shop could make and install test pipes for around 200 bucks installed. 30 dollars in parts at cost is correct. I work closely with a few metal fabricators. They know what stuff costs. I have showed them various products and they laugh when I tell them what they charge for them.

Then why don't you produce them and sell them?

A piece of exhaust tubing is available at auto stores for everyday cars for less than 50 bucks. no matter how fancy the edges are bent. At that price, they somehow manage to pay the manufacturer, distributor and retailer a cut.

A huge chunk of a 700$ price tag for Ferrari test pipes is profit. It is what it is...I'm not complaining, just pointing it out.

Another cost not mentioned above is dealing with "Ferrari People". Often this cost is immeasurable. Just saying. :)

What kind of material are they making them out of? There not going to be "aluminized" pipes are they? I would only accept stainless.

Now that's the truth right there. Can you imagine if your livelihood was dealing with guys like us all day? Poor guys probably all have their hair ripped out and heavy drinking problems by now. You can't fault them for trying to make some profit when having to deal with that. :)

I agree but some of these pipes are running as much as $1200. thats a lot of proffit. People on here act like this is some sort of Ferrari rocket science...lets look at it for what it is...two pieces of stainless tubing bent welded with an off the shelf flange.
