Scuderia 16M spark plugs

NGK's spark plug catalog does not cover Ferraris later than 2007, so unable to look up what you need. I use the iridiums in my 04 575M and they work great. If you know what NGKs you need and there is an identical iridium like there is for the 575M, I would jump on it.

 

I would be very careful going to anything other then the factory plug. The Scuderia and the 16M use eldor coils and modules for spark knock control. This system looks at the ionization current across the plug to determine proper operation, spark knock and misfire monitor. It is a very sensitive system and even in stock configuration can give some problems with poor fuel quality or when used on the track with 92 octane and high temperatures. I cannot specifically state that you will have a problem but any anomalies with warnings, misfires, bank shutdown or check engine lights I would recommend you go back to the correct plugs before any other diagnosis. I have not seen any issues with plugs or fowling on these cars why the need to change? Good luck.

 

Can anyone confirm, the 430 Scuderia and 16M use the NGK PMR8B.

Looks like the same plug as the F430 according to parts catalogs. No iridium plug listed.
