Just received this from my customer:

So he has the correct lever combination & when I get the O-down arrow plates I can supply a complete set of correct unscratchable lever label plates for his car!

My thanks to all of you for your advise & assistance on helping with this issue!

Hmm, is it possible the blank plate is a O&arrow plate with the icons worn off?

The O/down arrow label plates just came in!!!
Unobtainium can now supply two more label plate sets, see photos below.

Ordering instructions are in my catalog, see: www.UnobtainiumSupply.com.

    1st photo: Lever Label Plate Set, Unscratchable, Dinos, Euro w/2 heaters (1-temp & 1-choke w/red & blue dots, 2-DEF)

    2nd photo: Lever Label Plate Set, Unscratchable, Dinos, Euro w/2 heaters (1-O&down arrow, 1-temp & 1-choke w/red & blue dots, 1-DEF)
(Color miss-match is because I photoshopped the 1st photo to paste in a picture of the new O&down arrow label)

    cross posted from Technical Q&A:

    solly,
Yes, I still have what you need for your series 246 GTS, series E (1974).

I have a limited supply of Unbreakable (solid aluminum) chrome plated bezels in stock. while they last, they are only $75.69 each, $300/set of 4!!! (3 for dash, + 1 for CHOKE on console).

I also supply: Lever Label Plate Set, Unscratchable, Dinos (1-TEMP w/red & blue dots, 2-DEF,1-CHOKE) 246 Dino $95.00. Sold as complete sets to ensure full color match.

To order click on my name by this post and select: [Send eMAIL to Verell]

Sorry I haven't worked on a 246's bezels. However, from looking at the SPC it looks like it's either reach up under, or pull the dash. Can anyone help with this?

Solly, I've replaced all my slide controls including the choke. For the 3 on the dash, go in from the bottom. No need to pull the dash. You may need to remove the voltage regulator for better access . . . I vaguely remember that helping but not sure. I did remove the passenger seat so I could lay down a blanket in the passenger footwell for comfort as you will be on your back for awhile. It helps to have small hands, small tools and a lot of patience. BUT, it's well worth the effort!

Hi Matthias and all other experts in interior,

I noticed that I have one blank lever bezel in my early L series #504 and wondered if that is due to wear and tear or if it is purpose made from factory. I just ordered a set of bezels from Verell, but he had no blank bezels in stock since he's not sure if these blanks are period correct. What is your opinion; should it be blank or is it a worn "0 to arrow" label?

    Regards

    Peter

Looks to be worn off, should be first one on left in post #32 (DEF; 0<-><-).
I did a quick check on 4 L's and they are all the same.
Carefully check for any signs of remaining marks before declaring it a blank.

    Thanks a lot!
Close inspection revealed slight traces of the "DEF" marks on the left side of the label. Verell was on the right track. Case closed.

Glad you are getting the correct set.

You may wear the satin clear topcoat off the Unscratchable lever labels you're receiving, but you won't wear the lettering & icons off, they are under a layer of clear synthetic sapphire!! W/o the clear coating the labels can be cleaned with steel wool & pumice without damage!!!

There are two bezels for the Dino in the catalog and I'm unsure which is correct for a 1972 246 GTS Euro version, any help possible?

60548100-BEZL should be the correct one, they have the groove on the lever mounting tab, and the small, rounded end hole for the lever mounting pin. See pictures below.

You're lucky, I still have some in stock.

BTW, the 60044302-BEZL is sold out & I'm having trouble finding a shop that can/will make them at a reasonable price. It can be used on a Dino, but takes a bit of work as it doesn't have the groove on the tab's back & the mounting hole may need some rework. Also, the corners of the top are more rounded than the original Dino part.
