    Hello from lil'ol England.
I am visiting our head office in Plano Texas commencing the 20th of April (Sunday), returning to the UK on the 27th.
I will have evenings free mostly and Saturday the 26th. Is there any Ferrari happenings or car related things going on that week in the DFW area?

For general automotive events going on during your stay, I recommend heading out to Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday the 26th for the annual Pate Swap Meet which is massive massive massive. Pate Pics | pateswapmeet.com

Boardwalk Ferrari is in Plano. Ask for Steve, he'll probably show you around.

There is a sports bar not too far away from your Plano office, called 3rd Base. I suggest going there on Wed evening. I believe they even have Strongbow hard cider.

Malc, the F1 watching party is just north of DFW Airport. Depending on when you land, this will be the a great place to stop by and meet some local Tifosi and enjoy the race. Usually a pretty good turnout that bring their F-Cars. Hope you can make it and let us know if you need directions.

    Wow, what a response :)
My landing time is 15:50, I need to clear customs (that'll be fun for sure) and pick up my hire car. Will work something out and maybe get a street address, not sure yet whether I bring my own GPS or hire one. The F1 party sounds like fun.
From my previous US visits and still being on UK time, I'll be out of it by 7 or 8pm though :D

Blackbird007 I think I have been to Plano Ferrari previous. Everytime I visited the US (personal) which is well into double figures (20+) anyway since 2003 (when I decided I wanted a Ferrari) I always had to find the local Ferrari dealership.

Can't visit too often though so I will do that, thankyou.

The Ferrari Dealership is less than 10 minutes away from where you show your office to be.

Once you arrive and settle into the time change, post up here in this thread, I am betting we can come up with an instant lunch of sorts in this area and get a group together to welcome you! Taverna Rossa, Bone Daddy's, Kenny's Burgers, Taco Diner.. or others might all be cool places for you to visit. ( Capital Grill, Bob's, and others for night time )

LMK when you want to come by, I will be happy to give you a tour!

    Sounds good for a welcome!

Bugger, literally just too late. Long story short the travel arrangements here have changed since I last travelled. Once it's signed off you basically DIY it (Do It Yourself), which I have just done this morning. So through the travel agent I have now had to change from British Airways to American Airlines, which means my change over moved from LHW to Chicago Ohare and I'm not in Dallas until 17:30 so any F1 plans will be long gone too I suspect if I am not :(.
The travel agents have booked me an Intermediate car through whomever they use.

Arrived late Sunday, 18:30 @ the hotel. I'm still on UK time :D so I am going to bed after I've had a quick read on here. Flight details changed and I changed @ Chicago Ohare instead of Heathrow.

As I landed at DFW on Sunday afternoon I thought I was back in [not] sunny Manchester, UK. Today it has cleared a little and is warm :)
Can't visit Fchat from the office, has to be an evening.
0044-777-155-1015 is the business cell. UK number unfortunately. Would not as a rule publicly post the number, but next week the pool phone will be with someone else :D

Marci chauffeured me in her F355 and we met up with Carolyn and Don.
I was treated like royalty. I can't believe how fast the evening went.
Marci took me home via The Shops at Legacy.
    Ferrari certainly looks good there.
Thankyou again for your wonderful hospitality. I hope to get back again soon.

I did. Lovely people and a special thank to Marci. You can't beat being chauffeured from your hotel in a Ferrari and a Spider at that :)
Greg512tr also invited me to Wings & Wheels. A great end to my business trip, unfortunately the work I got whilst there is now a right PITA as part of my weekly task :(
