Average age of TR/512TR drivers?

Bought my first Ferrari at 46 (two months ago). I'm a late comer, been a Porsche buyer since I was 31.

 

Bought mine at 32. Have had it for 13 years now.

Fiat Dino at 27, 308 at 38, TR at 59.....Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

 

first 250 GT/E with 19, second 250 GT/E with 27, BB 512 Carb koenig and TR competition koenig with 50, still have all

 

Bought mine 2 years ago at 64. Feel 20 years younger when I drive it. Looks like I'm the oldest?

 

When i was 22 i had a large poster in the garage,then it was unfordable for me....
But dreams comes true..Bought mine this year at the age of 51.
Makes me older when i´m getting in to it,but 30 years younger when i drive it

 

I'm feeling younger by the minute woo-hoo!

 

39 for my first Ferrari, a 360 spider and 43 when i went all classic with a Dino GTS and the 512TR .....out of them all, i would say that its the 512TR that gives the best feeling/impression, of youth and irresponsibility!

First Ferrari (328) at 32 and just purchased the 512TR earlier this yr at 39

 

Bought 308GTSi at age 35, bought 512TR at age 38, sold 308 at age 41 and still have 512TR all these years later. Which would be almost 15 years... And approaching 100k miles

 

Purchased mine on my 43rd birthday and just had my 54th birthday. The car is still with me. The Testarossa came out in late 1984 just as I was graduating college. It has been my dream car since then.

Me and the TR have a lot in common. We are both cranky when we first get going in the morning but by the evening we are just starting to hit on all 12 cylinders and can run all night long.

 

First TR at 34. Second TR at 42.

PS: Don't feel bad, I too live in a glass house - been with the TR for 17 yrs now

 

I go sometimes over 55 mph on each wheel - and the car has 4 - so you may count now

 

Acquired my 512TR last week, I am 36.
Interesting thread, I was actually wondering that myself!

 

vmaxed it many times. solid as a vault. much better at 300kph than the cs or the f40. and at 250kph it felt better than the 456mgt and the bbi too.

 

Bought my 512TR last year when I was 49.

Bought 512TR in 3/12....at 39. Couldn't meet my goal of the F40 by 40. Epic failure.

308QV in 10/99....at 27.

Personally, I always just wanted the 308. I think I later was sucked into having to try "a 12 cylnder" Ferrari. I like the scream of the V8 better; but the torque on the 12 is very nice. Really wish I could have met the 40 year old goal....then I could have had both.

Ross....I don't know how many times I have looked at your pic and wished I knew what that car drove like. Maybe in the next life.

 

I'm depressed by your response. It's like you're saying you goal was Claudia Schiffer but you ended up with Cindy Crawford and her younger sister... No pity from me - I'll take Cindy any day!

 

Got the brochure when i was 15 or 16 in '85/'86...didn't manage to get the car until i was 42. Long wait but worth it!
