Better gas mileage? Wonder if it will circumvent the gas guzzler tax?

Where are they getting the model from? Unless it still has a 4.5 v8, they won't call it a 458t, and i doubt it will have that large of a motor. I'm betting on Italia-t or similar.

I think thats just a name people are using to differentiate it. I bet the name will be unique. As to the rest, we will have to wait and see what they come up with.

I adlmit, at least 50% of my daily driving pleasure is derived from going through short tunnels and underpasses with my windows open and getting on the gas, I feel like I need to look in my rearview mirror for other "racers". I can honestly say I am hesitant to buy another car unless/until the sound is equalled. Best

Just flew back from Korea where I saw the Huracan, and listened to them driving mid-town....incredible sound Bob.

so you need to buy Ferrari V12 for next car because there will be nothing to heard in future V8 turbo

Based on the sound in the reviews the Cali T's engine
    does sound rather listless.

If the Italia's replacement will indeed use an evolution of that
engine it looks like the Ferrari techs have a challenge on their hands:
    time will tell.

I really don't think they will find a way to make it sound that good. It's not like Ferrari is the first exotic or sportscar company to run into the issue of the turbo exhaust note. Much bigger companies with much more money and just as much expertise and interest in the matter haven't seem to have cracked it, so I'm not sure how Ferrari will.

Maybe Lamborghini's choice to go with NA in the Huracan was a smart thing to do. People will get used to it and come around to it regardless. Maybe Lamborghini will let Ferrari worry about converting the customers to turbos while stealing some NA sales in the meantime. Once everyone is used to the turbo, then introduce it to a more accepting customer base.

Open your eyes: in the meanwhile the turbo-fired cars drive circles around the 458!

Sound is good, but power and performance is better.

The Speciale is as fast as the 650S and sounds better.

A GTR? Why? I'm sure I will be more than happy with the 458 successor!

Huracan seems to be plenty fast, I don't get the need for turbocharging on cars like these - since noise and throttle response are what makes a supercar.

The only company that makes a nice sounding turbocharged engine is AMG, with their M157 twin-turbo V8. Bu that is a high-capacity, crossplane design - flatplane doesn't sound that good
with turbos - example Mclaren 12C/650S.

Audi's I5T also sounds rather nice.

I don't know, I really like the sound of my V8s sound in my 12C. Nice rumble from exhaust plus the whistle of the turbos and blow off valves. I have factory sport exhaust. So that might make a difference. Have never heard the normal exhaust. Now my 911 turbos don't sound like much...Mclaren sounds mean and throaty. I like. I think Ferrari will make the new turbo car sound like a Ferrari should. My one cent.

Hmmm, trust your opinion. Maybe there's hope yet! My only auditory experience is factory turbo s and gtr exhaust which weren't very impressive.

It will never be the same again. Why I decided to speciale, will keep it forever - but will probably buy this next car on top too.
