You might check to ensure that the shaft isn't too far forward or aft. There is an adjustment in the linkage and after a major service, mine was just about a centimeter too far forward in 1st, 3rd, and 5th gear and, therefore, touching the metal gate. We lengthened the linkage so there is a slight gap between the shaft and the gate now in all gears.

    Think the length is fine.
Just the buzz when at high revs...in all gears i think.

I had this problem pretty bad, and my mechanic disassembled the whole shifter unit, relubed, and reassembled everything, no new parts. No more buzzing! He said it dry as a bone in there.

Good to know but for around 12 pounds might as well replace the part whilst in there.
Just wanted to know if there was any other part that creates the buzz

The shift lever in my 355 did the same thing. On advice from others here on Fchat, I replaced both the "ball containing bushing", part # 154741 and the "ball join seat", part # 127446. While in there, cleaned up and lubed everything. Now, no more vibration. Dead silence in all gears at any RPM. Parts came from Eurospares, $13.37 for the bushing and $13.63 for the seat. This was over a year ago and the exchange rate has gone up significantly since then but they will still likely be a cheaper source than anything here in the US.
