Don Domenico and I (we've been telephone/email friends for several years) have just had a long-ish heart-to-heart chat. I really, really, REALLY want his 6-speed TdF blu 575M. For which he's had multiple serious telephone inquiries and a high offer well in excess of what I'd have guessed. Dom also has an argento 575F1 that he intended to keep. I urged him to reconsider and to sell the argento F1 and keep this car. It may take him longer to sell the F1 and my pure guess is that he will net maybe as much as $100K less. But for any lover of the Maranello this is the absolute perfect car and it is close to unique, there my be as few as one other in the world. If he sells it car he will look back and regret it for as long as he has an interest in Ferraris. I think I may have persuaded him. ;-)

This car is king of a Grail for the Maranellos. I think you will regret selling, but good luck, car will not last long on the market.

I enjoyed my Barchetta for almost 5 years of summer driving and sold it to aquire a piece of property I wanted to purchase.....my practical side coming out....lol....but I would rather sell my '05 575M F1 Argento Nurburgring/Nero car rather than this HGTC car. I want to own just one Ferrari at this time and it will definitely be one of my two Maranellos.

Despite the fact that this 575M was originally a USA car, the fact that it is NOW registered in Canada means there is a 2.5% duty charged by US Customs to return the car for registration in the USA.

Beautiful car, good luck with the sale.

Americans have a substantial advantage in buying Ferraris......I have bought 3 US registered Ferraris....one 550 Barchetta and 2 575M Maranellos....and I have had to pay 6.1% duty, 5% Federal Sales Tax, $2500.00 USD to Ferrari of North America for a compliance letter and an inspection fee by an Authorized Canadian Ferrari Dealer.

Thanks for your compliments & wishes on my car.

Yes, it would have to go through the grey market process, there are a couple of companies that do this depending on where you are.

What a great car, I always dismiss the 575's because if the lack of a clutch pedal and yours is TDF to boot. That is the ultimate GT, I wish I could do it.

Well I never understand this. Why the secret. It cost what it costs just state it for heavens sake. All this secret, secret, confidential POA nonsense and so you don't mention a price. Why do I have to pm just to get a price? All the other details about the car on ??

IMHO this usually means the car is over priced. If it's a deal the price would have been posted.

Do you want all sorts of answers to that question?
I think if someone has decided they want to sell then they pick a figure they feel is fair and then see. If it doesn't sell or get the appropriate enquiries within a few weeks then it's overpriced, so you adjust price accordingly. Simple market forces I guess...

I don't know you and you don't know me, but respect my ad and reasons for not listing a price. If you were interested in my car, you would have Sent me a PM, email or at least called me. This is what I do when I am interested in buying a car.

If you don't like the way that I market and offer my car for sale, please keep your comments to yourself and respect my thread on my car for sale. You did not even make an effort or attempt to PM me for a price, but write a post to basically disrespect what I quite respectfully set out in Post #1.

What is your true purpose in even making this post? Just be respectful.

    Thanks

It's not about respect. It's an open forum and everyone is entitled to their opinion. Your strategy is flawed and creates a negative sentiment by some towards you and your car. When someone reads your ad, many will not pass on your car by word of mouth as a result. After all, isn't it exposure that you really want? Yes yes yes, your car is special, but how many special F-cars are out there? Lots... GLWS
