Ok this looks like a fun place to visit more often.. I've taken a lot of travel and other pics last few years.. might be the place to drip feed some every now and then to share. To kick off some quickie iPhone snaps.. Firstly with some friends at an event I noticed my mate and his GF were dressed similarly to me with black jeans and neon on shoes.. too good to pass up quirky pic ;-) Also a spectacular sunset the other day where I live and work in the countryside.. even unedited on the iPhone I thought it at least captured the drama and at least some of the detail of the cloud. Thought I might do a weekly submission and see how any interest goes. Here are shots from a recent road trip. Don't often get to drive in snow and ice! Did some cave tours. Check out the lemurs sunning themselves to warm up on a winter's day. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
In Sydney on business around sunset the other day.. iPhone shot means least didn't miss the opportunity better than nothing! If I had a camera with settings choices I would have gone tad underexposed to bring out the sky more and wouldn't have lost the effect of the light & reflections. edit: While I'm self criticising I realise slightly better would have been to move to left a tad too and get more reflections and balance out proportions with the silhouette opposite. I nitpick my own pics all the time I find to see what could have been better, or noticed at the time, or taken more time with etc.. Horizons with water are a pet peeve and weakness to have slight tilt on.. so I pay attention to that relentlessly now after a few disappointments.. sometimes the resulting pic is a lot more obvious than was showing on the display at the time.. especially with light on the display itself, or other glare, when taking iPhone pic.. Just did a 4,000+ mile road trip, and the sights were amazing. Dallas-Santa Fe-Grand Canyon-Park City Utah-Jackson Hole Wy- Torrey Utah - Santa Fe- Dallas. Books on tape really passed the time quickly. Here are some of my better shots from the trip. If you have not experienced that part of the US by car, I highly recommend it ! Now I have to dig through my old slides. I'm pretty sure that I have photos from the exact same place in Utah (?) as that last shot, taken about 25 years ago.

unedited iPhone pics from recent road trip taken on same headland same time but 180 deg apart. I love how a simple change in angle can give such dramatic different possibilities in the same light. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
