I am looking into buying a 2005-2007 F430 (Spyder or Coupe) and I am fairly young. I could not get insurance via Hagerty. What can I expect to pay and who are the companies with the best rates?

Hard to say without knowing what country you live in, plus several other factors (your driving record, how long have you had your drivers license, what other cars you've had insured, etc)

Call your insurance agent and give them the VIN of a potential car your looking at. I do this all the time.

My agent knows my voice over the phone ;-)

Got another car? Even a beater truck? Or is this your only car? That might be a big limitation. Miles will be another.

Call AAA. They were over a thousand cheaper than Mercury. It does help though to have a second car. If it's going to be a daily driver with more than 5000miles a year, you'll pay more of a premium.

You should be right around 3,000 per year. Far less if you find a local non generic provider though

But that's on your plan, correct?

Sounds to me like the OP is pretty independent.

This is a waste of time, you should just call insurance companies and find out. To many personal contributors.

I disagree as we (family) have been Gold members of AAA for 40+yr's and AAA wanted $100/month over what I was already paying (less than 2yrs ago) for my '99 Miata (paid $90/M via Farmers), circa '04 and I have a clean record. I now pay $70/M for full coverage plus uninsured motorist on my '04 BMW 525i via GIECO.

Shop around to the OP but your age and the make does not play in your favor. I paid $1000/M in '82 for a POS '76 Datsun P/U.

Absolutely! Paying a premium is one thing... Making sure you aren't getting ****ed is another.

These are pretty good companies to deal with regarding exotics:
    State Farm
    Farmers
    Allstate

I don't think anyone on here got to where they are by getting stupidly ripped off. The rate on my 458 spider was 4x with farmers than State Farm. Would be pretty idiotic payibg that wouldn't it?

Is it a lot different feel from a regular Gallardo? Like a 'Stradale' or 'Scuderia' version?
