He uses various types depending on the situation and the directions of the paint shops. He once said that he can not tell which one is good or better and to my humble opinion all these detailing shops are just dying to "give him a rub" since they have much to gain from publicity.
If you detail a Jay Leno car you can add it to your c.v afterwards. (Like Savile Row Tailors that brag that are allowed to touch Prince Charles shlong when making a tailored suit)

He is a true car enthusiast and he doesn't feel the need to aggravate himself by jumping through hoops for a dealer. To me, it's all good. He doesn't need a Ferrari, his collection is awesome without any of them. Why would he patronize a company that he feels is rude to the customer? It would be nice if the sales guy who treated him poorly reaches out and tries to make amends, but I doubt he even knows he pissed Jay off. Jay reminds me of another friend that loves Ferraris but has never owned one. Tom Palmieri, a great Real Estate attorney in Miami even looks a bit like Jay, but without the big chin

    :)

I agree. Jay has plenty of really cool stuff. Who cares if he doesn't have a Ferrari. It is no different than him questioning our lack of interest in Dobles.

Your best bet is to dress in your worse close and drive up in the crapiest car you can get.

He may not own one but here he is with my son a few years ago at Concorso Italiano in Carmel. Very nice fellow, not filled up with himself at all.

I don't really understand the obsession with Jay Leno and Ferrari. I have owned sports cars since 1971, and I can fully understand there are many interesting cars to own. I will always have at least one Ferrari but I will seek out other more interesting cars in the future. I'm looking for a perfect original 60's vintage VW pick up right now.

I remember this magazine. What was it? I'm pretty sure I had it at home at one point.

Watch a few of his "jay leno's garage" on youtube and I'd say he prefers to "drive" shifting the car

    He can't afford a Ferrari.

Here is Leno driving a cheap British car and stopping to shoot the breeze with a few losers.

Really? I met him a couple months ago and he was extremely nice and open about his cars while I was at his garage for the day. Literally was told to "make myself at home and wander around".

I was considering buying my first Ferrari a couple of years ago and while in Dallas, for a football game, my wife and I dropped in at Boardwalk and were treated very well. They spent time with me, educated me on Ferrari's and two months later I bought from them. Fast forward to this year - was in Houston (this time a rugby match!) dropped in the dealership and not so much as one person ever said a single word to me. No, I wasn't buying a car that day, but if I ever want to buy another one I won't go there. Still, I find it hard to understand how a sales staff wouldn't be tripping over themselves to get in good with a guy like Leno.

Is that a pre-requisite to know if a person is genuine?

Heard & read enough to know I do not like him at all. If you like him that's ok, everyone is entitled to like or dislike a person and to comment if they put themselves out there as a public figure/celebrity.
