Ferrari 308 308 Gtbi | eBay "due to our filming schedule we are unable to perform any additional work on this car-sold as is/where is. This Ferrari 308 GTBi will be seen on an upcoming episode of the hit show Fast N Loud and the winning bidder has the option taking delivery here at the shop in Dallas Texas" Glad to hear they aren't planning on "customizing" it. Looks like a project to me, but here's a chance to buy a 308 GTBi and one that's been on TV. At least they take good pics...
I think these guys are complete jackwads but I have to say the condition of the car is pretty accurately disclosed.
They probably bought it for a really low price, the buyer will most likely feel taken when they air the purchase of it.
Based on what I heard around the local scene here on the F40, nothing when it comes to price and money on the show is accurate as to what actually happened. I just hope they claim they sell it for a reasonable price.
Just imagine the joy rides they had with this. "due to our filming schedule we are unable to perform any additional work on this car-sold as is/where is." Sounds to me like, "we had our fun, lets dump it."
The description does seem to be a good faith effort to convey it's condition. Surprised they typed priced to sale! Lol
Richard Rawlings has a 599, and Dennis Collins has quite an eclectic collection of cars (550 that set the NYC-LA record, showed up to C&C last month in a Gulf livery Ford GT, has always had Panteras parked in front of his dealership). These guys aren't quite a bunch of rednecks who are unfamiliar with the prancing horse, and other "exotics."
I bet they bought it for next to nothing 15 to 20k. From what I've seen, they seem to make as much money flipping as they do customizing...if not more.
I saw this car in person. The only thing not clear in the pictures is how bad the paint is. It was cracking and spidering pretty bad. The clearcoat was virtually non existent.
Pretty rough for 32K, IMO. Needs paint and an interior at the least. So now it's a 40k+ car. And its only a 2 valve. Nope.
you all crack me up with your detective skills based on a Odometer reading. Cars sitting for years will and do rot, leather drys and cracks, Metal corrodes, and so on. It all depends on where they were stored. This one has probably sat for some time. I know my 308 sat for 8 years before I bought it and only had 18,000 miles on it.
It doesn't even take that long. Look at the inside of this 80 model. I took those pictures in July 1983. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/308-328/322953-vintage-pictures-i-took-308s-1981-1997-a.html Post number 25. The handbrake leather is rotted off and that car was only 3 years old then. Imagine the leather looking like that in a 2011 model now...
