My recently acquired '85 had been off the road since '92 so I haven't driven it yet. It is super original, right down to the tires, but needs completely gone through before I put it back on the road. (documented 11k miles) Until then I'm plenty happy driving my carbed GTB!

Had to take 80515 to her mandatory "contrôle technique" last Thursday by a cold and drab evening. Coming back, the drabness of the day made me think to check the Maginot line, in the vicinity, to see if it is still holding. Well, it is...

I absolutely love it, but I haven't had a chance to register it yet, so driving around with no license plate and a handful of Italian photocopied documents is asking for trouble. (It's insured of course.)

I took the long way around to get it's VIN verifcation done and got the car really nice and hot, but that was a one off. Will report back on the VR thread once I have had a chance to drive more. But first impressions are great - really fun and engaging.

That's'what I thougt also, but you never know (by the way, that "ouvrage" of the Maginot line, for which you see only a secondary entrance here is one of the biggest, if no the biggest of them all, a really underground town).
The car has grigio leather, extende to the rear parcel shelf and roof liner, and black carpets. Body color is Nero Metallic. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

    Great picture, Bruno!

I visited a Maginot line fortress between Freiburg and Strasburgo ( i do not know how it is called in France, it's the city where there is the Eupen parliament).

    ciao

That city is simply “Strasbourg” in French, Alberto; a place I like a lot (even if the cost of living here tend to be horrendously expensive since the arrival of all those people from the European parliament)

The fort where I took the picture of my GTS is actually situated about 150 kms up North from Strasbourg, in the triangle made by the France-Deutschland-Luxembourg border; the picture of my car is not in front of the main entrance, which is much bigger, but of an auxiliary access.
For those interested, a description of that place may be found here:
