I'm sick of dribbling fuel into my car at every fill-up (fill-up is an exaggeration, I quit by 10 Gal. usually) and it seems the only thing it might be is the vapor tank from what i read here, just not letting the air out quick enough so the tanks can equalize. Has anyone done the tank replacement? I believe I found it on Ricambi, just not sure of the price nor now easy or hard the job will be. Doing headers and other items this winter, figure I would do that as well...

It is fairly easy. Might need to remove the rear grill for better access. The unit is held in place with a strap (2x M6 bolts IIRC). The pipes have easy to use connectors.

I have some more detailed info about the canister on my website but cannot post a link.

Gary, are you having a Evap System error (P0455)?? I'm having this error and I don't know what it is. Plan to get it diagnosed next week. Was hoping it was the gas cap, but I don't think so.

Also, Aldous, is there anyway the roll-over valves can be replaced on a 2004 Spider without removing the top?

My top had to be (or was) removed to replace all of the roll over valves. Mine is a 2004 Spider also.

No, not getting codes. just a nightmare to fill my tank with gas and this part is supposedly the culprit. Just found out that Ricambi has to get it from Ferrari so I won't have it for a month...

Thank you Ricambi! The canister was supposedly a 3+ week wait from Ferrari, I had it in a week! Not doing anything with it until winter shutdown when I do the FS headers, fuel pumps, oil changes, brake flush, and other maintenance things for the spring.
