Sorry I never saw this when you first posted the question... I took a standard L-shaped allen wrench and used a dremel cut-off wheel to make the short side really short. I cut it basically just at the point where the curve ends (if that makes any sense). I was able to get it seated into the screw head and get enough of a swing to tighten it up. I also locktited the heck out of all of the screws. So far they are holding... - Eric
I did the same mod to the key. But I couldn't get one deep-set screw very tight, but it was snug. So I'll be examining the gear-lock next.
