Love my great Aventador but this is 2nd time it didn't start up 1st time was a few days ago at night, dealer said battery was weak Happened again today. I talked to dealer & he said it may be battery overheating. Both times happened in town after low speed driving but 1st time was at night so cooler Having a new battery installed tomorrow. Is there a way to insulate the battery better ? Anyone else have starting issues ?
I had that issue with my g55, took them 3 years to finally fix. Essentially the key wasn't registering correctly with the encrypted ignition. Happened 1 in every 50-60 start attempts. They replaced the whole ignition and key system, problem solved. Also a big punch in the ignition area fixed it as well.
That wing actually really suites the car unlike most I've seen which seem to be LP670-4 wing knock offs. I wouldn't be surprised if the eventual Aventador SV gets a wing like this. Beautiful car BTW, hope you get your issue sorted out easily.
Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your Lambo. I had my car stop running at the light. I did not know it was designed to do that. You just touch the throttle and it roars to life. I hope they get your car fixed so it treats you properly. My car felt "clunky" when I first got it. They did 4 service campaigns and that is now gone. I love the car, you will to. Best Lee
Nice wheels and wing. Where did you get those? Edit: looks like a Novitec wing. Can't figure out if those wheels were a factory option...
Think it's Novitec wing Engine shut down freaked me out too, may b ok in Gr but in 90F FL not the greatest idea Dealer thinks it's the starter & he ordered me a new one
Hi Lee: I need to do the big campaign on my car. How long did it take on your car and was the technician who did the work George?
Hmm. I guess Audi and that great German Quality still hasn't gotten it right. I'd think about this next time the topic of shabby Italian quality comes up. I know this is kind of smartalack, but just proves the whole quality improvement is a crock. Something as simple as a battery shouldn't ever be an issue after all this time. Car looks great.
True! With my Maserati QP as everyday transport I had just one minor issue only, whereas I sold my VW Phaeton (supposed to be high end and really is nice in appearance) spontaneously in great anger with about 35,000 miles only. What all went wrong therewith, incredible. The Audi A2 of my wife appeared nice with respect to bodywork and interior, but the technical components were awfull crap. The brake disks were corrosion prone and lasted less than half of the pad-lifetime. Supension parts were rotten solid, when trying to replace a front spring, which just broke apart while slowly driving a smooth in-town road. Etc. By the way, I recall permanantly repairing my then-not-yet wifes VW Bug decades ago, the legend that they kept on going and going definitely did not apply to her vehicle
There were 4 campaigns plus an oil change. I left my car there since the campaigns were just announced and they did bot have the parts. My car was at the dealership for 3 weeks. I suspect if they knew you were coming and therefore had the parts it would take A day . I cannot emphasize how much better the car feels. Some of the campaigns are done to reduce some maintenance issues in the future. That dealership now picks up on a flatbed truck your car and returns it to you clean. I talked to George and I think he did the work also. I have found the dealership to be excellent, first class and just nice people to deal with. Lee
Definitely the Novitec wing. Good luck with the starting problem. NOVITEC Double Rear Wing - Lamborghini Aventador
