I guess it depends on how you feel about the 355. In my case I have been dreaming about the car for 17 years so I treat her (it) sort of like an infant... even though it really amounts to a simple material possession.

To some degree one's personal wealth also factors in. If I were a multi millionaire I would have a garage full of 355 ' s and probably bring them out every night....because I can simply drop it off at the shop...and four weeks later it is perfect again. In the meantime I would drive the other five of them on rotation and not really care.

I am not exactly a wealthy man. My car rarely leaves my sight. At 7 11? Sure.

At a hole in the wall bar that is certain to be packed with drunken jerkoffs? Never. I really don't go to those places but I am merely trying to make a point.

Everyone who owns a Ferrari knows that no matter where you go there are people who want to touch it, sit on it, spit on it, steal it, take pictures of it, ask you a billion questions about it, and inevitably ask you what you do for a living.

Sometimes when I am in a jesting mood...and I get the inevitable "What do you do for a living?!?!" I will respond: " I smuggle weapons and drugs out of South America..."

THEN I quickly follow up with the truth and tell them that I am a psychotherapist...and $aved long and hard for my 355.

No, do not like parking in public areas. To many people are to interested and that's nice in one way but not in another way, especially when some idiots must touch the car.
