I've got 34k miles. They do run better when driven. Just wonder when the downhill slide will start? 70K? 80K?

Just hit 20K on Tuesday. '04 360. I pulled over and stood next to the car for 2 mins. The wheels did not fall off, the engine did not start to eject flames, and no oil started shooting out of the top like a Texas oil well (knock on wood). I got back in and continued to smile a big I love this car smile

I drive my 360 about twice a week. Driving home yesterday I started thinking about the depreciation on a 2003 per year and the cost of putting miles on the car. I figured on about $5K in depreciation per year (just a guess based on the price change per year) and I have no idea on the cost difference of a 2003 360 with 25K in miles, vs 35K in miles etc.

Then my thought was "well I will just drive it until the wheels fall off and it has ALOT of miles" . Then what will it be worth?????

For only occasionally driving, I am putting on about 8K in miles a year, currently up to 33K in miles.

Many, many components have been replaced on my car, some several times. I completely rebuilt the engine from the bare block, etc. Like I said, I challenge anyone to show me a nicer example! :D

So gratifying to see at least a few of our cars being driven over the 10k mile threshold! I've had Porsches for years and I've never heard anyone refer to a 25k mile Porsche as a high mileage car. After three years of Ferrari ownership I'm still amazed at the obsession so many Ferrari owners have with mileage. Having now experienced my 360 6-speed for three years and 16.6k miles (I purchased it with 8.4k miles), I can say that Ferraris are far more robust than people generally give them credit for. I'll take a Ferrari that's been driven at least 2k per year and properly maintained over a low mileage garage queen any day!

Excellent! Great job and nice car!

Similar to you, I drive my car every chance I get.

Mine is a 2003 Spider F1, only 10,000 miles when I bought it 6 months ago. I put in 7,000 miles already in 6 months of ownership.

Similar to you, my gear pops to neutral once in a while at high RPM. Dealer confirms its time for a new clutch. My clutch wear is now at 80%.

The quotes I received for clutch replacement here in Seattle area is between $6K and $9K. Ouch!

    Dan
