    So a few years ago was it RedBull, and then previously Ferrari?

    At least Mercedes are so useless at managing a team the drivers generated some excitement by a coming together :D

    In no order;

    - the sound
    - testing ban (although I understand why)
    - the silly looking noses
    - no refueling
    - the TFHB

    Cheers,
    Ian

    In no particular order;
    -turbo engines
    -regulations that prevent teams from running full engine revs
    -no qualifying tires
    -mandate to use all of the tire compounds
    -Bernie

    Testing ban
    Too long wheelbase
    Too narrow track (cars should be much wider, more mechanical grip)
    Absence of a thrilling engine noise

    1) The lack of freedom to roam the entire track with general admission tickets
    2) A less then 26 car grid
    3) A non 40 car pre-qualifying grid
    4) No DNFs
    5) Predictable winners

    Best post yet! ;)

    I'm sure I could search it out, but can't you do #1 at COTA?

    When we had 26 starters, you didn't notice when a few dropped out......

    We often didn't qualify when I was involved. [No smart ass responses needed! :) ]

    Cheers,
    Ian

    After careful consideration - I think I most hate the propensity of the FIA to change the rules in the middle of the season.

    :eek: ;)

    Outside of the current "great radio debate", please provide examples of previous mid-season rule changes..... Thanks.

    Of course, the radio thing is not a rule change, they've just agreed to enforce rule 21.3 (or whatever it is): "Alone & unaided".....

    Cheers,
    Ian

    Although, as the Viz noted, seems Charlie was particularly "lenient" in any enforcing going on!

    There were a few more "items deferred until Japan" too..... I have a feeling we're not going to hear too much on this for now - 2015 regs may be different, but as usual, changing anything mid-season in F1 is *hard*, even for Charlie. ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

    The arbitrary banning of the braking ride height control - I could see no reason for that.

    You mean Mclarens 4th pedal?

    If so, I'll give you that one. It was what, 12-15 years back? I could argue it. Also note, of course, Krafty's BFF was running the show, and already had a hard on for Uncle Ron.... :eek: ;)

    Many have argued Renaults mass damper subsequently of course. I think it was a good ruling, But no matter, we've got a maximum of *two*, questionable rule changes in the past 12 to 15 years!

    Hardly something that should be at the top of your 'dislikes', surely? ;)

    I know there's a lot of other stuff I dislike a lot more! :)

    Cheers,
    Ian

    Didn't the FIA question the Michelin tyres that Renault were running also. I'm sure there are a lot more that *two* questionable rules changes in the past 12 to 15 years. It is all about the TV ratings ... :(

    1) Hideous noses;
    2) Hideous sounds; (particularly noticeable on long straights like those at Spa & Monza)
    3) The slow death of tradition (French GP; Spa, Monza, & Silverstone constantly under threat);
    4) Tilke tracks at places almost no body gives a s*** about; and
    5) Bernie's BS gimmicks (mandatory use of 2 different tire compounds, double points in the final race, radio bans - oh, wait - now there's no ban, etc.)
