Yup, I hate facebook, but that's the way of the world, I have posted most of my lifes woes on here anyway, however some do not realize that when shunning the way of the youngsters media platforms.

 

I'm probably among the youngest owners here and i ditched facebook a long time ago. Too much liability

 

If you say so mate. Soon the immature lot who over use social media will learn that achievements are what definies a person, not what they pretend to look like.

LH is a racing driver, that is all he needs to be. He needs to drop the earrings, drop the gold chains, drop his pathetic management and shut up and drive. He is not a rapper, he is not from the Bronx and will never win a punch up with a real bro ... so stop the pretending and have some self respect.

On second thought I do not understand your reply RallyeChris. I cannot see how my comments regarding LH have anything to do with social media. The news media maybe, but I think you have missed my point.

I'll try to explain:
I'm very much against people having sports fans unless they know the whole and complete person. If you don't you often find out the the off field or off race track person is not a very nice person and then why or how could you be a fan. Yes you can isolate your feelings for a person to just on field/track but that is not really right. That is like supporting Adolf Hilter because you thought he was a good artist.

I used to be a big fan of an Australian touring car driver called Peter Brock. But then after he died we all learnt that he was a women beater. I was shocked. I immediately had no respect for that man and never will again. End of story, the guy was a *****.

I respect LH's on track driving, most of the time, but I cannot stand his off track rapper, look at how cooll I am image. I cannot stand it in anybody who is like that. When I listen to LH being interviewed the true LH is not like that (I think), why can't he just accept who he is and be true to himself. Ditch the hangers on and not try so hard to be cool.

This has absolutely nothing to do with social media. He needs to mature and not worry so much about what his mates think of him and be true to himself. If I am wrong and LH is really a rapper that can actually drive ... then well good on him, but that type of person and I are incompatible and will never be a fan. Image means nothing to me, I'm all about real achievements and I would have thought any real racing driver would be all about achievements too not image.

No I don't hate him. And I think he's an excellent driver...However. What's with the Rapper/thug/hip hop look? Two big diamond ear rings, gold chains, dumb-ass hat.

Dare I generalize and say he looks just like some NFL player? Next thing he'll have dreadlocks...or is it dread locks...or is it dred locks?

I know, I know, he's young and he looks that way because he can. I guess I'm just getting old and think that look sucks. And yes I though the long hair in the '70's sucked too.

Wouldn't change my view one bit. I see him as one of the top three drivers (top 4 if we want to include Ricciardo).

Not one of your best examples lol. Lewis is a great driver no doubt, one of the very best. Always entertaining to watch. Sure his personal style may be that of a "rapper" but it would be a gross generalisation to then assume that he is not a nice person because he looks Like that. I mean he's had the same gf for years and seems very committed - nothing of the " fhk b1tch3s get money" type that your generalisations would suggest he embodies. I think you've been imprinted by an upper class white logic and hence have a knee jerk reaction. What someone wears has no bearing whatsoever on the content of their character

as to part b. - would you say the same thing about a Swastika shirt? One of the British Royal family did that and got summarily trashed for it.

Perhaps I should have qualified my statement a bit. Yes if someone were to wear that it would say terrible things about their character. But the swastika, as a potent symbol of all things terrible, is probably the exception. Maybe an upside down/inverted cross or some kkk inspired outfit as well - but those all have historic underpinnings. But to hate on a guy for wearing a SnapBack a gold chain and some studs...stretching it IMO
