I've now re-read it; someone here linked it back in July. ;) (no login needed BTW)

It'll be interesting to see what they do next season - I like the idea of maximizing the diffuser area, but certainly not at the expense of power of course! Maybe he's right, but I suspect there's a lot more wrong with the thing than that.

Sure, all we can do is guess. And I'm not even trying to say if Fred is 'good' or 'bad' at developing a car. Rather, despite all the telemetry decent feedback from the jockey (whoever it may be) remains essential to developing the thing and moving forward. As I said, I still believe the mark one ass is still the best arbiter of what the car's doing.

    Cheers,
    Ian

So the cars not great I think most people can tell that . So what is Fred going to do is the question and Impo fiat will hope someone will sign him and if not they still might push him out this weekend it's been a month since ldm was shown the door so I guess they have not been setting around think now what. It's going to be a great weekend great track and some fun games to be played in the media center I think ferrari has a deal done with another wheel man if not why have they not went public with the news that Fred is staying next year with kimi

Mclaren/Honda being quiet on their line up is quite interesting IMO. Until they make their line up clear, I think there is a large possibility that Alonso is going there. 40% chance I'd say.

Every year it's the same. The entire field waits on the decision of one driver. Until the plum is out of reach no one commits.

Tin foil time: Alonso and Ferrari are deliberately creating uncertainty to keep the rest of the field as back footed as possible.
Makes as much, or as little, sense as anything else here.

Fact is we die and pay taxes that's the only facts in life . In my personal opinion most men only care about a couple things. one of them is money . I'm sorry that I don't care about facts heck bernie madoff said I have the facts and figures right here and the FTC said great everything looks in order so I guess I'm not much on facts once again I'm sorry :(

    But honest.

At least ninety percent here is speculation. Sometimes we lose sight of that.

I'm not sure that's TFH time either.... ;)

And it's not just the plum rides either - Has *anyone* announced their lineup for next season yet? I think we know Smiley Boy is staying put, but KI? Kimi seems solid. But beyond that?

    :D

    Indeed! ;)

FWIW, I decided long ago mulehead was best ignored. Works great, until he gets quoted of course! ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

While I suspect that there are some signed but unannounced contracts everyone else is waiting for the skinny Spaniard to sing.

Sorry for the quote but he was candid.

After tweeting that Alonso has signed with Mclaren Honda Pitlanetalk has continued to defend it (and is taking a lot of heat in the process). They originally said it would announced this weekend, but in the last couple days say it might be delayed till November since neither Ferrari nor Mclaren have confirmed lineups if he switches. Per them, Honda is pushing for Vettel alongside Alonso though unlikely.

They were the first to post that Domenicalli was leaving so maybe this is all true.

Now that would make for a *very* interesting pairing! I'd love to see it, but just don't see it in the cards.

That they've also 'backed off' on their claims also suggests, to me anyway, it's just more silly season BS. As with Eddie, make enough claims, and sooner or later one is likely to come true.

    Cheers,
    Ian

A lot of people discredit mulehead because he lacks punctuation, but he does have a lot of insightful things to say if you can read his posts clearly. I find his posts peppered with information that would otherwise be glazed-over or ignored by the casual observer. Mark my words, some of what he says has truth as a foundation.

Speaking ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix, Bianchi said that moving to Ferrari was "logical" for him, after two years of learning about the demands of F1 with Marussia.

"Of course I feel ready," explained the Frenchman. "I have been working on that since I joined the [Ferrari] academy in 2009.

"Now I have done nearly two seasons in F1. I have good experience and feel ready for that.

"It looks like the logical step for me if something happens.

"At the moment both drivers have a contract, but if there is an opportunity it will be good for me and I feel good."

This story keeps moving on - from AUtosport

Fernando Alonso admits a decision on his Formula 1 future rests entirely with Ferrari, after hinting he would accept leaving Maranello if his team thinks it best for its future.

Although Alonso has a contract until the end of 2016, he and the team are evaluating their future together amid Ferrari's restructuring and renewed recovery push.
