2014 is a year to forget at Mclaren.
They are in their last year as Mercedes engine customer, and certainly didn't enjoy the best relation with the German, having announced the forthcoming switch to Honda power.
McLaren has probably sacrificed this year to design the 2015 car in co-operation with Honda where they will receive exclusive attention - for a while at least.
So, I wouldn't read too much in this year; McLaren is going to bounce back, I predict. How high is up to speculation, but the Woking team's fortune in F1 have always been cyclical anyway.
They need a strong drivers line up for that, and the pairing Button-Magnussen seems a bit weak to fight the opposition.

Ron Dennis is a smart man he will want to sell his part of the company at the best time and Impo the best time is now for two rreasons first I don't thing they are going to move up the grid fast because ferrari looks like it going in the right direction in personal and pace they have looked between the last 5 races and second f1 is having a hard time finding funding for its mid pack teams which is a real bad sign . I don't think Ron has the passion of Frank Williams frank ddidn't sell because he loved his job

That is close to the numbers for McLaren Automotive, I think Ron and Ojeh have 54% between them to prevent any "control" issues.

As for McLaren Racing, McLaren Technology, McLaren Engineering and McLaren Electronics, Ron and Ojeh have controlling interests in those company's.

Ron had no problem telling Mercedes to go pound sand when they tried to take over the company in 07-08..and he stuck it to them financially with the production of the spare parts build for the SLR, pretty sure we wont be seeing any Honda badges on the 650S anytime soon.
