My wife loves my 355. I have gotten a few positive comments when I have taken it out. One at a gas station, the women said nice car, mind if I take a picture of it for my son, and one at a stop light by a women driving a newer VW bug.

I got more compliments from women when I had a blacked out Ford excursion on 20s lol
Actually when I had a Ducati 916 that was a chick magnet
But I am married, so I only care about what 1 woman thinks :D

Sorry Dave, I can't match that one. I liked that story as well.

You are never going to believe what happened to me when I took my 355 out one summer's night....

    How is that for starters?:)

I really don't think they care. I see more hot chicks in trucks than I have ever seen in a ferrari. In fact when I see a Ferrari it's always a couple of guys in it.

Actually I had several women compliment me on the car. Unfortunately most of them followed up the compliment with, "may I have my son *enter name here* come and have a picture with it or sit inside?." They were not MILFs either and always ended the encounter with (turning to their first born), "some day *enter name here again* when you study and work hard you may have one of those."
Didn't bother telling her that my 348 costs less than her Lexus probably so young Johny can probably easily set his sights on one of them. LOL.

Not really. It's not something most women around here can relate to. Even if someone were a status seeker impressed by luxury cars, I could picture it backfiring because Ferrari's street cred is far too astronomical and could intimidate.

    Sausage magnet.

I have younger women (college age) want to take photos next to it at gas stations and other public places. Women that aren't driving (the passengers) usually always try to get photos with their cell phones.

Guys - normally in GM products want to roll down the window and chat on the road or at stop lights.

Guys in Subaru's and mitsubishi's always want to race but look like their angry and trying too hard.

Older Women in porsche 911's always turn and smile - I live not too far...from Scottsdale.

I took my neighbor and his wife for a ride

when we got back my neighbors wife apologized that she left a "wet" spot on the back seat

I think she liked the ride :)

My wife likes mine, that's all that I really care about. She'll take it out for a drive every so often and we have a day trip planned solely around taking it for a long drive coming up.

It actually does draw some attention from women around here, though they're generally not women I'd have any interest in even if not married. The funny part is that it only seems to draw attention from women when I'm driving around with a buddy, so they all think it's a chick magnet. When I'm by myself, not so much. Luck of the draw or maybe says something about me :).

If you think it draws a lot of male attention, you should see the attention when my wife drives it... She took it to dinner once with a friend of hers and said she wasn't going to do that again because it drew too much attention. I don't have that problem :).

Don't forget the "bad@$$" effect. ;) "He might put a hit on me or delete my bank account!" But then there is also pure burning envy or frustration. Drive it and enjoy it. :D

I've noticed that women generally don't notice or care too much unless:
    1. It is a really fashionable or trendy colour combination (pearl colours that mimic jewelry especially). The styling also needs to be less in your face and more elegant.
    2. Other people recognize it is really expensive (like a Birkin bag)

The marque doesn't seem to matter but both criteria need to be met.

I just got home from gassing up my 355.

I had an attractive young lady walk up to me and tell what a nice car I have.

Then she asked me for $5 for gas.

Not really. They like my 993 911 a lot, though. I have met one or two female enthusiasts who know what it is and were excited to see it.

I really couldn't care less, and even if I weren't married that wouldn't change.

Girls notice mine, and will sometimes get excited. I have definitely had a lot of questions about it from girls. Here are some of the statements I actually remember:

"OMG that is sooooo nice. What is it, a Ferrari??"

"Love your car dude!!!!" -Car window

"Is that like....and old one or a new one?" (getting flatbedded after my starter clip broke off at 7-11 and the car wouldn't even crank. Boyfriend offered me his OBDII reader and helped push it out of the face-in parking spot.)

"Will you take for a ride?!?!?!?!?" (-teenager yelling out of a car window at a traffic light) I declined. Too young.

    "Is that a Lambor--Lambor....uhhhh"

"This is my daughter, are you single?" (55ish daughter lightly slaps 75ish mother, leaving a restaurant. I was in the valet area waiting for my female passenger.)

    That's about it. Typical, really.

The funny thing I notice is that young males (6-7) KNOW it is something special because they have matchbox cars etc. Old men know too.

Women will turn their head, men will turn all the way around and watch you drive the other way.

Lol. Whine, whine, whine! She says.. The a/c is not cold enough. The seats are not comfortable. Why is the alarm going off, and why can't you shut it off? Please put the top back in my hair is getting messed up, and too cold out. Why are you pulling over to check the oil again? If the engine light is on are we going to make it home this time?

In the end.. Oh, that was a really fun drive and I like it better that the smelly Porsche turbo.
