Change for the sake of change. They should be keeping Alonso, acquiring vettel, and if there's a third car, kimi can stay, if not, he goes. Keep the strongest team, not the weakest links. Domenicali was crap, no getting away from that, his decisions on pit wall arguably cost Alonso at least one championship, maybe two. Kimi hasn't got to grips with the car yet, how long can we afford to give him.... I can't see vettel driving around issues like Alonso, he hasn't exactly driven around red bulls issues this year has he? Ricciardo is good, but should he be beating vettel so easily if vettel is adaptable? No, hence, vettel needs the car set for him and him alone, just like kimi, and without testing etc, teams don't have the resources to have two independent development teams for the same car. At this rate, the car which doesn't perform in it's set up, ie kimi's, will suit vettel, and therefore we are looking at 8th at best and up to 14th next year..... Ooooh, what an improvement NOT maybe, just maybe, vettel coming to Ferrari might convince newey to jump ship to work with him? If that happens, maybe our chassis issues will be sorted, but how likely is that.... Not much, given f1 is a mile away from the racing formula newey wants and needs it to be now, with all the regulations and BS, it's killing itself as a formula.
Sorry Guys, Alonso is out...and he can join his best friend Dennis in the cheaters team, or he can stay at home watching f.1 on his tv....although many believe he will go to Mac, i'm quite sure Dennis is thinking if he should not hire him and let him out to dry (just as a litle payback) or should he sign him and then screw him!! Whatever the choice, Alonso is not in good hands right now....he though he had all the cards but he was left with very little to choose from, and he's talk "i have decided what to do months ago, and i go where i wnat to it's nothing but Bs".
Fred and ldm are a Clown show once fiat decided that ldm couldn't possibly run the team with any degree of business sense ( rehire kimi ) they were never going to keep Fred he is like I said a pr nightmare but in all fairness at least he didn't go to the Italian press on the weekend of the Italian gp and say I'm running Ferrari for the next three years like clown hack lawyer so as bad as Fred is at pr he's at least not a fool
I always thought that everyone was just presuming that it Ross returns it wouldn't be at McLaren. Maybe unlikely, though it IS possible.
From the looks of all the changes at Ferrari MM is going to remain in charge Then logically only one place left. Ron did say Team Principal position still open Plus Honda thinks as well me that Brawn is an F1 God just my 2 cents
If honda though so much why did they pull the plug last time . Impo honda will pull the plug in three years and if someone thinks that Alesi close to schumi needs to never talk about f1 again
Alesi was like Gilles, Hamilton, Peterson etc in my opinion in that he had a god-given talent, but wasn't the best driver. Hamilton is more talented than Alonso, and a faster driver, but Alonso is a better driver. Hamilton will get you pole; Alonso will get you the championship. I still maintain no driver on the grid could have achieved what Alonso did in 2012.
..And i can respect your opinion on that, he did a great year, but fact is, in the last quarter Felipe was faster than him, and had to let him pass several times...i can remenber Monza, Usa, china (if not mistaken) an brazil...how came such a superior driver was bettered by his team mate, one that many consider as a waste of drive? Seems to me his year was not that perfect...
Because he was using his head maybe? By that stage, everyone knew team orders were very much in effect. No problem, they're legal again. He knew Phil would move over when the time was right. One could argue if that's right or wrong, but IMO he'd earnt that privilege earlier in the season. "It's a team sport"..... Cheers, Ian
