I'm sure there are people who like and support the smaller teams. Remember Sato beating Alonso in Canada, Super Aguri vs Mclaren? But in reality, they hardly get any TV exposure. Just during they are being lapped, or when they are crashing out. It's just silly. Besides Bianchi, who else in these smaller teams are genuinely good drivers because they have talent? They are there because they can pay for it. Perhaps the FIA can let the smaller teams run for free, bring youngsters in, groom them, and charge the bigger teams a bomb when they swoop in to take this new drivers away. Just sayin...
IMO Here's how to make 3 car teams work and provide a great show for spectators In Q1 the top 2 qualifying timed cars from each team advance to Q2 leaving one car per team behind In Q2 the top qualifying timed car per team advances to Q3 leaving one car each in mid pack In Q3 the remaining cars shoot out for pole This way the field gets spread out which should provide for some entertainment
I get where you want to get to but every time they add "features" to improve the sport they eff up. Back to basics. The sport can do fine on its own.
