I'd agree. WeHo, SFO, Seattle, Village all have weird. But these people are weird combo of bizarre, redneck, hipster, Republican, gun toters, militant gays, and bible beaters. Often combined. Still I like a lot of TX. :)

Oh, I get it now. Venice beach does Texas. All you need is a Japanese Jesus and a guy juggling chain saws.

    Brian,
Will you be in Texas permanently by mid-November. If so, I would like to ease by your new shop and say hello. My son and I will be wrapping up the Texas 1000 rally in San Antonio on Friday, November 21, so it would be easy to come over your way before heading back home to Lubbock.

I sure hope so but that weekend we are going back to California for a friends birthday party.
    I'll be gone 21,22,23.
Sorry. Any day before or after is OK.

    Forgot to comment

That there is some serious style points.

Gotta like a guy who ignores convention in that way.

Don't worry. We'll have a burger and a beer at the shop sometime. Thinking about making it a regular thing.

Huts burgers downtown are the best.
But this is TX, so BBQ is a must. :)

I've still got issues with my 550. Let me know when you get your shop set up and I'll get the car (still wont start!!!) to you. My son lives in Austin and he has offered to help me out.

    Welcome to Austin!!!

We are truly lucky to have you in town.

I have enjoyed being educated by your posts over the years.

Having a shop on the west side of town will be a great place and is underserved.

I look forward to meeting you at an upcoming fca breakfast.

I'm very close to Lakeway on the other side of the dam.

    Jim

Snow's BBQ in Lexington! If you're gonna live in Texas, you're gonna have to eat like a Texan. Snow's is only open on Saturday. Some of the best brisket in the state. If you don't get there early in AM, they're sold out...T
