Close, Rick. If you buy a luxury BMW or Mercedes in 5 years your 100k car will be about 10-20k. If you take a hit on your Ferrari, its roughly the same.

Totally agree, i hear about people each day who i know , and are younger than I am dying. Lets enjoy our life, and live as best we can without regrets.

+1 I'll be 68 Saturday and work every day ... although I do come in a little later and take longer lunches than I used to :D and drive further to lunch just to get more Ferrari time! Today I will take a shooting range break too.

Thats good to hear that you love your DD as much as your F car. Perfect situation!

I feel like a Porsche 911 may be a good DD, but the wife has advised me to be content with the F car...and keep the LX470 as the DD

Had a 2012 911 Turbo S Cab and 2014 Cayenne Turbo S as DDs. Just sold the 911 and have a Bentley CGT Speed in bound in November as my new DD.

Hey, I have had my 2014 Cali 30 since July and now have 4,700 miles on it and loved every one. Over the past month I have begun to balance daily driving between the Cali and my Lexus IS 250 C. Hardtop convertibles are just hard not to love to drive. I still cannot get over how quick the Cali is and it still gets photographed about 15-20 times a day on the way to work and back and out at lunch.:)

eeek! your DD is FASTER than your Fcar???
The Tesla can do 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds ------>compared to 3.8 for the Fcar.

Now thats a new one. Congratulations! Some guys have all the luck...

0-60 is far from a meaningful metric of performance, unless you never do over 60. BTW, Ferrari quote 0-62, not 60.

3.2 sec is not released yet, that's the new AWD model with close to 700hp.
Current Tesla accelerates to 60 in low 4s.

I think the Model S is 0-60 in 3.9. I came across one at a stop light in my Cali 30 and just beat it out by a nose. I did hear the new Model D (the one with all the independant electric motors) is slated to 0-60 in 2.9. But it still aint a Ferrari....

F12 is the DD. Done about 8,000 miles since May and just got the car back from the shop yesterday, and drove it into NYC today with the new snow tires on - ready for the winter!
