Technically I'd say it should really be: tre cinque cinque! ;)

is it three "o" eight.....or three zero eight?!!!!

should be zero i reckon since it's a number but pronouncing it the letter O sounds better!

Definitely "o". People in Europe don't tend to say "zero", that's more of an American thing. :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I don't think there is any "one" way to say some of these.

What is most common to me and my madness is:

Three-Fifty-Five although I also say Three-Five-Five about the same amount because of the British influence of evo/ top gear, etc,

The rest are based on what I have heard on TV, the movies, at dealerships and 5 trips to the factory in Maranello.

    206: Two-Oh-Six
    246: Two-forty-six

    308: Three-Oh-Eight
    328: Three-Twenty Eight
    348: Three-Forty Eight

    355: Three-Fifty-Five

    360: Three-Sixty
    430: Four-Thirty
    458: Four-Five-Eight

    512BBI: 5-Twelve
    512TR: 5-Twelve

    456: Four-Fifty-Six
    550: Five-Fifty
    575: Five-Seventy-Five
    612: Six-Twelve
    599: Five-Nine-Nine

The OP did ask what the CORRECT way to say it is

    This is it:

The tendency to say "fifty", "sixty" etc in the middle (ie. "three fifty five") is a US thing, and is perfectly fine if that's what everyone else around you says.

But it's not technically correct. After all, these are European cars.

For what it's worth, 308 should be "three oh eight", not "three zero eight" for the same reason.

In the end, who cares, but he did ask about "correct" not, "what do all your friends say"

No, I'm making it up as I go along. :)

But it is kind of amusing.

Having said that, when I hear "three fifty five" it's a little like fingernails down a blackboard...

Andrew- No such thing as a 246 GTB. 246 GT and 246 GTS, but no 246 GTB.

Incidentally, the last four Ferraris had no displacement in the name. California, FF, F12, and La Ferrari. Six if you want to count the California 30 and California T.

If I'm not mistaken (maybe italian members can lend a hand), in italian it's called trecento cinquanta cinque, or three hundred fifty five. In Portugal we call it three-five-five.

    Best regards,

    Nuno.
