I live in SE Wisconsin and NE Illinois. Good driving roads within a reasonable distance are far and few between.

I have a motorhome, so I'm thinking about trailering my 458 to other places I like to visit....like Colorado for example.

Anyone else take their car with them on vacations?

I have a 22ft enclosed trailer now that I use for towing a small formula car, but I'm not sure how to manage getting a street car in there. It's not wide enough to open the door to get in and out easily. I would like something that limits the hassle of taking the 458 in and out of the trailer. Any advice or suggestions?

There are some really cool car trailers that have the huge side door so you can open your drivers door fully to get in and out of. I thought of getting one of those one time to pull behind my motorhome. What kind of motorhome do you have to pull it?

I am most likely getting a trailer to pull my car to the open roads in Nebraska. I am going to trailer it up there because high octane gas is unavailable, so I will fill up before I go, then I can drive and not worry about fuel. I think it is a good idea, and it can make for great trips.

I drive my car to my vacation spots. Its a car, unless you are taking offroading it wont get hurt.

A enclosed trailer will do the job, get the car on the ramps, hook up a winch to the tow hook and pull it into the trailer MAKING sure you have some stops for the tires before the car hits the front in case the trailer tilts forward, then you can walk around and strap it down. Make sure the window is open so you can engage the parking brake. If you try driving it in, you wont be able to open the door as you said.

I saw something like that at one point, but to me the problem seems to be with the fender wells inside. It would seem like the floor inside the trailer needs to be high (without going to a very long trailer) so it's actually above the trailer wheels. I'll take a look more carefully at some trailers. In a perfect world I find one that will work as a replacement for my race car trailer and still let me tow my 458 as easily as possible.

I have a 38ft. Alpine Coach diesel pusher....it should pull just about anything. I don't want a trailer much longer then 22-24 ft as it just gets to be too long of a rig to be practical. It's already a pain.
