Some people don't care who is driving, they just want results....i think otherwise, and Alonso, besides being a cheater failed miserably to deliver anything, this despite Ferrari giving himall suport (destroying in the process his team mates pit strategy and car development). Plus, he always talks like if he's driving is spotless, and Ferrari keeps faioling him, forgeting how much crap he did in 2010, how many points he lost on hisown, and the fact that in 2012, his team mate spent the last part of the season moving away in order to let him pass
He's paid to drive the car. Which he's darn good at. As for his personality, who cares? It's not like he's dating my sister.
The fact remains, this approach hasn't worked. He won 2 Championships with arguably the best car on the grid. It's been 8 years since... So, is it his own shortcomings that have prevented another Championship, or the fault of McLaren, Renault or Ferrari? Hard to believe the best driver on the grid couldn't earn another Championship with 3 of the most regarded teams on the grid over 8 years, unless he is preventing his own success somehow. He hasn't been able to achieve his goal, or the goals of his team, in almost a decade.
Whether or not he is top of the class at the charm school is irrelevant. Give him the car, he will do the rest.....that's what he's paid to do. BUT, his car is slow, it dives all over the place.......watch the replays. He wrings the neck out of the car, but the engineers just can't fix it. If they could, he's be up there with Hamilton. He needs the right car, and if Ferrari can't build it, he looks elsewhere.......What would you do ? Sit it out 'till you are 45 ??

Not arguing here, planets need to line up, they haven't, his best chance would have been at Mclaren, but as with Nico, there was/is a big thorn in their sides...

A ridiculous thread, best driver on the grid, yet he sucks? BS Since when did Michael Schumacher, or ayrton senna, gives a damn about a teammate during a race..... They didn't, they raced for their position, and used everything in their control to win. Just like Alonso. I for one am really annoyed he has been forced into leaving, vettel won't be able to make a difference if our next car is crap
I think all ".... sucks" threads are useless, this no more or less than the others I don´t think that he is actually forced to leave but I think he wants to as he does not see any prospect of things getting much better at Ferrari next year. I guess no one at Ferrari thinks that Vettel has to replace Alonso because he will do better but maybe because he has more time left to go through the (most likely long) process of getting back to the top. But as you said, if they do not get a better car it does not make a difference how ever is driving the car.
I have no problem with these threads. None. No driver is perfect and I for one take this thread as entertainment during a slow time in the F1 process
You're wrong. Vettel will suck at ferrari. The team is the problem not the drivers. The Massa sucks and Kimi sucks thread were just as stupid as this one but they were/ are getting their tails handed to them by Alonso. That is why starting an Alonso sucks thread is even stupider.
