I spotted Obiang himself at the wheel circa summer of 2009 on the corner of PCH and Niguel drive (just outside the Ritz Carlton Dana Point).
Serial number 001. Art stored it there before he started Ferrari of Silicon Valley, he was an excellent customer of the dealership and tried to buy it from the factory as did Tom Price. 001 has been rebuilt twice now and is now lighter and faster than ever with over 950hp and under 2,000 pounds without fuel.
And here it was on the street in Beverly Hills a weekend ago during the Ferrari 60th Anniversary event. I posted a high-res version in my Flickr Account Wouldn't mind seeing those "old school" pictures too. >8^) ER Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's absolutely beautiful, it is my one of favorite Ferraris. I started it a couple years ago at Arts storage space. I'll look for the video my friend took, it's on a flash drive somewhere around here. I wish the other 3 chassis's didn't get crushed.
Yes - easily my favorite modern Ferrari. Very much wish that Porsche and Mercedes had not been allowed to bend the rules so badly in GT racing at the time as it would have been amazing seeing the F50 GT on track with my other love, the McLaren F1. I still have the two dyno videos from when they used it to capture audio for one of the video games it appears in. The longer one is about 7:00. >8^) ER
It's funny that the dyno video only shows the car revving to 10.5K, the engine makes peek power at over 13K.
Yeah - just checked and it wasn't in the photos. Asked Alex Smolik if he recalls seeing it. This video was shot when his cars were being exported from the USA - yellow F50 was part of the lot. Probably want to mute the audio. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmIzakQFqdo[/ame] >8^) ER
I was also there when the cars were seized, and there was no F50. None of it's ex US cars were there. All the car seized have been sold during two different auctions and there was again no F50. Thomas
We had a night shoot with my friend's beautiful 'new' F50 the other night https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.759182094119200.1073741868.474995565871189&type=3
Like that moment when passing an accident someone says "you might not want to look". Very sound advice.......then curiousity gets the better of you.
Yellow F50 in Japan apparently owned by the owner of Fab Design Japan. I really don't mind the wheels. Image Unavailable, Please Login

He has quite the collection of the newest and the fastest. Recently he added a 993 Turbo S, Diablo SE30, and 25th Anniversary Countach.
360C's old F50? I'm not familiar with too many yellow F50s with yellow headlight as many had black and 360C iirc painted his to match. Looks infinitely better that way imo.
