Yes, it's not been seen in the wild much for the last 10 years so very few photos will have been taken. You're right on the numbering, you obviously know your SE30's!
Yes, I think the SE30 is a stunning looking car and yours looks like it's new. It looks very aggressive with the sloping front spoiler and yet has some beautiful styling features like the wheels for instance. If money was no object, the SE30 would be at the very top of my wanted list. Is this the first UK SE30 then, as 72/150 was used for a lot of the press features? The black car used to be about 5 miles from me about 4 or 5 years ago but has moved across country since. I've been collecting things on the SE30 but things are quite rare. I do have a smaller version of your car though! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ah, somewhere in the back of my mind there's a car that was in Australia or New Zealand more likely, which was brought over to the UK, possibly this one? Bought it on Ebay years ago. I knew it existed but never thought I'd get the chance of finding one as only 25 were made, in purple and yellow. Paid a lot for it but it's a nice model. It's resin and 1:12 scale.
Thought I would share a quick story involving a SE30. I was a couple of months from turning 16 and was with my father at Ultimate Motor Works in Longwood, FL shortly after they received the first SE30 ( I want to say it was a press car) anyway, the owner at the time took me for a ride in it about 10 mins into the ride he pulled over turned it off and handed me the keys and told me to take it easy and started to get out to switch seats with me. Being honest with him I told him I did not have my license yet. He laughed and thanked me for being honest and we continued for about another 10-15 mins. After I got my license he made good and let me take a diablo out, it was one of those moments you will never forget.
I agree. It is the best Diablo! ....just that right amount more than a regular Diablo. .......not too extreme like the GTR/SVR, so it can be used legally on the street, even on a date without making her too angry! .......very rare, especially here .......much lighter than all other variants, and best power to weight ratio (excluding racers SVR/GTR) .......still has the purity of the original look, without add-ons like the Nissan 300ZX exposed headlights, or the extra-wide front fenders like on 6.0 and GTR, all of which take away the purity of the awesome original design, which I think is perfectly complimented by the Miura-style engine cover, and the more aggressive front spoiler, etc. Just enough small details, tieing to the history of the marque. All just my opinion, so don't flame me if you disagree!
Quick technical questions I always wondered about: -Are the SE30 magnesisum wheels lighter then the stock 6.0 wheels? -Do the OZ mag wheels fit on later cars (namely the 6.0)? I am curious if they clear the brakes.
They are lighter, but the fronts won't clear the calipers. Rears fit though, not that's not worth much since the fronts don't!
Thank you. Would you (or anyone for that matter), know the factory offset and sizes for the SE30 wheels?
A fellow member had inquired about the SE30 magnesium rim backspacing figures. See attached pics. Interestingly enough the rear SE30 18 inch rear rims are wider than the OZ 15 inch Countach rear rims (although the Countach tire size is 345 and the Diablo tire size is 335) while the front Countach 15 inch front rims ares wider than those of the SE30 17 inch front rims (although the Diablo tire width is 235 and the Countach tire size is 225). I also added the rim production date sticker, the warning sticker and the hub data. Im looking at a Lamborghini Diablo SE Jota White 1995 35000km. Its white and very clean looking. Can anyone help me with the Value? This is my first Jota. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
First you need to determine if the car is a factory Jota car or a standard SE30 with the Jota kit installed later.
Thank you again. This is very interesting. It shows the SE30 was set to have the least understeer (or most oversteer if you will) of any factory Lambo made at least between 1980-2009
Stopped to see a couple of friends at their work while I was out in Seattle last week. Lucky for me they just so happen to work at Cats so i got to check in on my future se30. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Does anyone know if there are any others in similar/same spec to this one in RHD but where the windows drop down fully? Looking to pick one up in the future but trying to establish if such a car even exists at the moment. Does anyone know where can find a breakdown of the RHD SE30's produced? Thanks in advance.
