1994 Lamborghini Diablo VT V12 Great Paint Clean Car Fax Service Records | eBay They want $169k have these cars gone up?
Have to say people go nuts over my Diablo little kids screaming nice car people asking to take pics etc. got attention with my Ferraris but nothing on this level 100x more for good or bad. have to say it drives much like my Boxer but more power with no vision rear 3/4 areas have SV rear lid.
Have to say my early 2wd Diablo drives much like my Boxer with more power and 100xthe attention good or bad little kids screaming nice car people asking to take pics camera phones filming while driving etc have had a few Ferraris nothing on this level for it.
He is overpriced - at this time..The Diablo only has one way to go IMO. Another bargain car is the SLR. For under 200k you can't beat the performance and driving experience along with the Mclaren lineage behind it's build. Not that it matters here but I loved driving that car.
That's funny. The ad says "asking $149,900". What did I miss? VISCOUS TRACTION! (VT) can't even get that right...... Last sold for $89,100 in January at B-J
Even though they make the VT out as a big leap in design for the Diablo and go on to misspell it numerous times, buried in the description is "front differential and axles removed". So, there you have it. VT is awesome once it's disabled.
If I'm not mistaken, this is the ex Deion Sanders Diablo. It's been for sale on and off several times over the past few years.
I've been to this dealership, I haven't seen this car, but every car I did look at was really rough and needed some sorting. Not a bad thing, but after being there in person, no way in hell would I buy a car without visually inspecting it and a PPI. Online they price like show cars, but they will cut deals to move cars. You should be able to talk them down to FMV.
Is what,? apples to apples. What years are considered "early cars"? and of these, is any one year more desirable than the other(s) and for what reasons? Anything "after Audi" thought of differently? Thanks to any of you for input as I have been looking for a Diablo and am"confused": early, audi, sv, vt, square dash, curved dash.....understanding all other parameters (miles/service/how used) same when looking to buy any exotic. I am really looking to sort thru the Diablo idiosyncrasies. Jack
No, just 96-00, with '97 and '98 being the most common. Total worldwide production around 450 cars with probably no more than 400 in existance and only maybe 250 in the USA. I can tell you that driving a 500+ HP mid-engine car at 7,000 RPM with the top off is an experience that can't be described..... Will be very surprised if Roadsters do not see rapid price escalation over the next 5 years....they are just so unique.
Thanks both of you.....that was the conclusion I came to "not a lot of correct info..out there". Good to hear it from the "Bull's mouth" ! Jack
There not a ro variant with these early cars (see above) So; No Roadster variant with the Early cars ('91-'92) w/c were all SV Roadsters only '96-00 (Late cars?) Both SV & VT ? or only VT ? '93-'95 'middle' years coupe only SV & VT ? VT appeared what year? and at that point in time no more SV produced? Jeez, this is just like my son's SAT exam question ! Did I leave out or miss anything...or the WHOLE thing... Please feel free to correct as needed and thanks again, Jack
Diablo 2WD 90-95 873 built (rear wheel drive) VT appeared in late 93-99 529 built (4WD) When the VT appeared in late 93, power steering was added. The cars before this are the early cars, as the 1994 onwards cars had this plus other improvements (e.g. lower dash pod too) SV 96-99 346 built (rear wheel drive, light weight more basic, cheapest version in range at the time) Roadsters 96-99 466 built (mostly VT, but some SV roadsters were built)
Perfect ! These Factory "speciales" I am aware and their place (somewhat) in the model range.....yet would not know at a moments glance if SV or VT. Given their special designation ($$ too)....I will remain preoccupied with the more pedestrian entry-level discussion ! (lol) Unless you care to riff on this theme some more and showcase your talents! Jack (grasshopper)
Since people throwing special editions out, its probably a good time to indicate what your budget might be since there is a $200k+ swing between some of the models referenced. I guess as a thumbnail sketch: early cars - around $100k early VTs - maybe $110k '97-'98 roadsters - $120k '99 roadsters - around $150k 6.0s- maybe $180k Special editions - up to $300k
