Does this mean less driving time for the 208?

The incredible thing is (apart from Jim managing to buy it! - It surely couldn't have ended up in better hands!), it still looks so futuristic some 46 years after it was originally designed!

I loved it as soon as I saw pictures of it when I was a kid, and I still love it to this day! - It's My favourite concept car of all time!

I'm genuinely glad that you've got this car because it wont be locked away in a garage as a static display trophy, people will actually get to see it, and, it will become more than just a styling exercise, it will become a proper drivable car, and will not want for anything to keep it in tip top condition.

I'm also glad I'm not you though Jim! - I mean, when I need to go anywhere I have to weigh up whether I take My trusty old rusty BMW work-horse, or take My Ferrari 348 TS?

That's a nice simple choice to make.

Now if I had your garage I'd probably go mad trying to decide which car to take out and then end up feeling guilty for leaving the other cars behind!

Sometimes, the lack of choice just makes life so much simpler! :D

Thank you, it now has the perfect home. I hope some of the other PF cars, if any still exist, also find perfect homes. Still sad the PF is in its current state.

Absolutely outstanding!! Now, when do we start the thread where we all argue about weather or not to restore it back to a Can Am car....?

    Congratulations.

Now you can send it to David Piper to remove the body and "restore" it to can am spec. That would be a funny joke if it were not so sadly true in the case of one you did not save..

So congratulations again, you are a great custodian. Having the car run again, being fully sorted, so much etter than a static exhibit. Its one of the great what ifs comming true, like if the Hughes H1 took to the air after years in storage at long beach..

    Cool stuff.

Jim you never seize to amaze me! You're the best custodian I can think off for this masterpiece. Congrats!

The body, is it aluminum or fiberglass?

    Best,

    Gene Berns

The Italian magazine "Ruoteclassiche" , November issue, dedicates an interesting and nice article/interview to Jim, his collection and the 512 Modulo.

    Ciao
