I agree with your enthusiasm and viewpoint as an owner. I disagree with your market viewpoint though. As Geno started to infer, and I have continued: poorly-conditioned cars should bring lower prices. Period. I really don't care about the chassis number of an LP400, early or late, 1974, 1975, 1976 or 1977, I primarily want to know what the car's condition is. That's my professional position, and I'm sticking with it! Happy Halloween, don't change below 6,000, and have a great weekend!
Really ? We discussed the $90K Fox car during 2005. Nothing was available for sale. The value of money has decreased.
The Anni on ebay went for $426K with 4500 miles. IMO this will be a seven digit car if you hold onto it long enough. Enjoy the smiles!!!
Yes the miles on that red E-bay 89 were incredibly low. Personally I think Roys white is the deal out there today on an anniversary. And what its around 57k less then this one went for, yes higher mileage but looks absolutely impeccable. Come on, nobody out there wants to be a Wolf of Wall Street?!? There is a fellow Countach owner here in Oklahoma with a white anni with something like 2k miles on it, they might not photograph as well as red or even black but in person the white is breath taking IMPO
Sure, view my webiste and you will see at least ONE of each of what you are seeking.. Cats Exotics | Exotic Car Dealership specializing in Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, and Collector Cars
There are some great cars available from collectors who prefer Private Treaty Sales. Please call me Monday onwards and we can discuss in person - (714) 928 5626. The cars include: - Diablo SE30 with very low miles (less than a thousand) meticulously maintained. - Countach LP400 Periscopa with low miles and special provenance. Best,
My childhood dream has officially been crushed. I hadn't checked on these in a while and I see that they have almost quadrupled in price in the last 6 months...I just landed a good job and probably could have afforded a solid project in a year or so..looks like I just missed the boat folks! Guess my Lotuses will have to suffice...
Move on to an early Diablo, where you can still get a decent car every now and then for $100k.....but don't wait around. Or there are a couple fixer uppers on ebay for $50-60k, including a 6.0.
yep! I did it... (also own Countach) and can tel you; Early Diablo has that Countach feel, so you know it is somewhere under there, but Diablo is easy version from Countach.
I want to clarify that the white one in Oklahoma 12550 does NOT have 2k miles on it. I have pictures of the odometer when the car was in Las Vegas with OVER 17k on the clock, then I have pictures of the car when the odometer was MISSING. I know that car well.
yikes! sounds like there is a lot more to the story on the stretched 2K miles ? at best is appears someone missed a 0 somewhere... Nothing like records checking and a car car fax if the car was driven at all or even registrered..
There's a lot of conflicting info on this car to make your head spin just google the vin. I know the facts because I was intimately involved with the car back in 2009.
Funny that "Oklahoma white 25th" would surface up again after a few years with someone with a low post count. The last time I mentioned this car I got threatened by the current owner & one of his bozo buddies via PM to shut the fchat up if I knew what was good for me and for me to stop trying to ruin the value of the car with my comments. The car is now worth double of what was paid, maybe more. Facts should be shared with the community not swept under a rug especially now that the car is worth 300k+. I sure hate to be the buyer of 12550 now at +300k then find out AFTER the fact that the car's ODO was tampered with or MISSING. I have at least 100 pictures of this car in total disrepair sitting on a farm trailer with cow crap on it & odometer missing. I've even posted quite a few here over the years. One of the previous owners used to drive that car from IDAHO to LAS VEGAS quite often to party. That's a 620+ mile ONE WAY trip. There's even a record of 12550 broken down on the side I-15 by a state trooper 400 miles from it's HOME ADDRESS. Heck when Domani had it for sale it had at least 2k miles and things falling apart on it. (circa 2007) Yes the car was repaired, yes the ODO along with the radio was replaced, but there's no way on GOD's green Earth that car has 2k original miles. I'm willing to bet my own Countach and stand behind my statement that's how sure I am about this. Facts & pictures do not lie folks.
Is this the white with red anni that sat in Domanis Pompano Fl ca 07-08?if so it appeared to have a repaint also.
Yuppers It had a repaint then. And another repaint prior to or at LOH circa 2011. That car has a bad history for over a decade, and people simply hide it under the rug, not to mention violate federal law by selling the car with bogus mileage claims AFTER I showed the pictures of the car with a missing ODOMETER. The last "dealer" knowingly fudged the carfax to just over 200kms of the last "known mileage" which was when Domani had it for sale. There's no way that car traveled just 225 kms in 6 years with the ownership it had. It belonged to a well known street pharmacist that used it as a "coke spoon party toy" in Las Vegas.
It was presented with very low miles, not shure how the anni is painted from the factory, but as stated earlier, apeared repainted and tampered with,i made a comment to the sales guy based on my observation, not much of a response ,Anyway interesting story.small world.
