I looked the Jarama over fairly carefully. It was not perfect, but was very nice. It had some items missing (shift knob, ash tray, etc.). The "shenanigans" probably lowered the possible final price as it became "tainted" goods to some bidders.

DOT XA 35 XEEJ 471 is the code stamped on my Pirelli's. Is the 471 the 4th week of 1971?
If so, is it safe to drive on 43 year old tires :)

Only one short blast to 60mph for about 5 second though Chad took me for a 1/4 mile drag race run with it :)
Other than that it is just 30-40mph around neighborhood.....just to run it.

New tires should be this Fall. What is holding me back is deciding between buying 225, which is what is on there now. Or going to 215 which is what they came with from the factory, if I am correct.

This damage was caused by the disintegration of an ancient tyre - a salutary lesson.......

I have to admit that I like the look of my car with the headlight doors open.
I usually go for my daily walk on the town green. I have taken the Jarama about 3 times. The first 2 were with the headlights closed. When I do my laps, I can see the car in the distance.
And btw, these cars look great from far away.
Last week I had the headlight doors open and from a distance the car has very different look. I like it a lot.
I have to take a photo next time.

Olivier, has the car arrived? Can the owner confirm the tire size?

While waiting to hear on this tire size, I came across these Fantasy Junction pictures.

I can make out the 60-15 portion nut not the first numbers. Almost looks like an HR before the 60 but that would leave a 2 digit number before.

I think an HR 60-15 was a legitimate size back in the day. "H" size, "R" for radial, "60" aspect ratio, 15 inch diameter. Many muscle car tires were F,G, or H 70 x 15 sizes, and I had a set of H70/15 tires on a car at one time in the 1970's. Later on they went to "60" aspect ratios.

So, correct me if I am wrong but that Tirerack chart says it's a 255/60R15?

Wow, mine has half that mileage. Maybe I can get 300k?

Joking aside. Good looking car. And yes, a detailed engine compartment would help.

This isn't even close to being a restored car and I don't think it's a mint original either is it?

So what do you think about the pricing?
