Hey all, Hope everyone is having a great day. Quick question. My right sided mirror seems to be loose. Can anybody suggest a way to tighten it up. Any information would be much appreciated.
It would help if you let us know which mirror you have, I'll guess a Vitaloni fitted to a QV or 328....Pull out plastic base cap (lifts vertically) pull the rubber gently towards the mirror housing, tighten 10mm nut carefully in required position, slide rubber back down, place end over the recess and place cap back to locate. The mounting screws into the door are also uncovered when doing this - probably worth just checking they are tight too. T.
Thanks Tim, I will check the mirror type. The car is an 82 308 gtsi. Not sure if there are multiple mirror types.
They are probably the standard US mirrors. If is it the drivers door pop off the rear cover on the mirror mount. The cover on the back/left side of the mirrors base (the part that mounts to the door) and you will see an allen head bolt that you can tighten. I tighten mine every other season. Easy job.
