I have been working with a company locally to develop a new exhaust solution for the 348. After a few protoypes, I feel we have come up with a VERY nice sounding system that utilizes factory mounts/ cat compatability(for those wishing to keep cats) as well as matching bypass pipes/tips. This system is a proprietary design with an acoustically tuned merge section which I have not seen used in ANY other systems available today. The finished product is in 315 stainless steel and shaves 50+lbs off of the factory system(for a spider). It is modular with 4 possible configurations using cats/resonators. I currently have the straight through/non catted configuration on my spider and am VERY excited by the F1 sound that fills the air when accelerating. Heres a couple of prototype clips to give you an idea of the sound!

pics of the final product will be posted after the first production piece comes off the press.

Just my opinion , but sounds , just obnoxious and loud , just one mans opinion tho . Its a tricky car to get the balance between volume and pitch . Peace

And you really should let your motor/oil warm up before getting into they RPM band... that is the biggest issues with values when people don't let them warm up and go get on it out of the gate..

I would love to hear some flybys too. I will definitely be in the market for a 348 exhaust very soon.

For those worried about my water temp.... It was just cooled off from running earlier at full temp. It was plenty warm still. It was not dead cold. I understand the concerns tho. Thank you.

And for anyone interested I will inquire about the possibility for a group buy. But first let me get a production quality unit in my hands to show the quality/construction.

If that was the case.,you still should be at a 1/4 on the temp gauge. Please don't lie.

Thank you for the concern. The motor was warm but not hot. It had plenty of residual heat in the block/trans/oil from the 20mile drive there. It was not dead cold as I explained earlier. Just cooled off some from a couple of hours rest.

    Now back on topic.
I will try to get some outside video today if possible.

    Great sound
I'm looking for a new exhaust for my 348 Spider
Any options for remote valve operation such as like the capristo valve controller?
    Definitely interested in this one
    Keep me posted!

It sounds great but one concern I would have with this exhaust is just how wearing on the ears it would be on a long drive.

Loud exhausts are fine for track use and shorter journey's, but they can start to grind you down on a long drive.

(I followed a "Fast And The Ridiculous" wannabe Toyota Supra up the motorway last weekend in My 348 with the roof off, that was fitted with loud exhausts - The non stop booming from the exhausts started to grate on Me after a very short time so I slowed down a bit to get away from the noise [I decided to slow rather than speed up as I reckoned the knob in the Toyota would have felt a need to prove how fast his car was to a Ferrari owner in true "Fast And The Ridiculous" style] ).

    Whoooohoohoohoohooooo!!!!

Very nice! Sounds like they are straight pipes, no muffling. Looking forward to seeing the pics and dyno results.

Oh and 315 stainless??? Did you mean 316?

YES!....a valve can be integrated but that stage of development hasnt been reached quite yet....ill keep you posted.

I drove the car 40 miles home with the top down and can honestly say it is surprisingly quiet on the highway(keep in mind mine is a spider)...there is NO DRONE except for the off idle bit at 2000rpm...above that it is very clean. BUT.....I will be testing the resonated configuration soon. it should make it significantly quieter for those needing a less "intrusive" solution.

Yes sir!...they are non-res/non catted at this point....this is as loud as it gets...haha! and I may be wrong on the stainless...but I thought they told me 315 stainless....I will double check.

I will see if my friend will lend me his 355 for prototyping after the 348 units are final. Also will be prototyping 360's too!

    Thanks!
I wanted the valves just in case I need to go by a quiet neighbourhood or late at night, parking lot etc...
Definitely want the loud as it gets option!
The straight thru sound is so addictive.
