A recent shot of my ride. This was taken at a special Air, Car and Bike show for chronically and terminally ill children at the Temple Texas Airport. Lot's of cool two wheeled, four wheeled and winged rides. Plus it's always a good day when you can put a smile on a child's face

The optional wheels done just in silver with the matching calipers look very clean as does the interior. No stripes or piping on the seats and nothing to distract from the basic design details. Even the sport sills are body color on this Italia.[/QUOTE]

1st camp - options the car up with all stripes and contrasting details possible.

2nd camp- (and possibly the minority camp) options their cars as simplistically as possible. I think I'm in the second camp to the extreme - Standard seats with tone on tone stitching, no carbon which introduces a different color and appearing surface "texture", Standard Silver Wheels with silver calipers, No yellow shields which fight color-wise with the Beige Interior, standard black and white tachometer to match the dash, and matching sill color. While all Ferraris are beautiful and the man on the street will never know the difference I personally see a beauty in the simplicity and appreciate what this commentator is saying.

Which category are you in and why??

Definitely I'm a "2nd camp" guy but not hardcore, I might want shields or contrasting sills for the 458 (no sill for the F12, for example). But agree on the silver calipers, standard finish inside (no carbon), standard tach (no flashy red or yellow). Seats are a world themselves, but I tend to like racing seats and/or diamond stitching and wouldn't mind a contrasting cavallino stitched or the occasional stripe in the racing seats. No piping allowed, though. I find piping a 90's fashion.

    JM2,

Was that your yellow 458 that I saw in downtown Rochester yesterday? First time I've seen a yellow 458 Spider in my area.

Added this used 458 Italia to my "stable". Best Ferrari I have ever driven. What a dream! Everyone who drives or even rides in it, leaves with a perpetual smile plastered on their face :)
